Spellbook Torn Pages

Default Spells (Spellbook)

Spell Effect
Mage Arena FireballFireball Shoots a ball of fire at the target that deals a large amount of damage to everything in the area of effect, including yourself. This spell deals continous damage.
Mage Arena FreezeFreeze Shoots a bolt of ice that freezes and damages the target.
Mage Arena Worm HoleWorm Hole A two-part spell that creates a portal from one location to another. Say "Worm" to set up the first portal and "Hole" to place the next.
Mage Arena Magic MissileMagic Missile Shoots homing missiles that automatically target nearby enemies.

The spells listed above are the four basic incantations part of the Spellbook obtained at the start of every Capture the Flag match.

Unlockable Secret Spells (Torn Pages)

Spell Effect
Mage Arena BlinkBlink Teleports you a short distance towards the direction you're facing, even through walls.
Mage Arena WispWisp Summons a wisp of light that hones in on the closest enemy, even if you can't see them. This will pass through walls and will chase down a target until it hits. Deals damage and slows them down for 4 secs.
Mage Arena Divine LightDivine Light Summons a bright light that heals all players in an AoE. This includes your enemies.
Mage Arena Thunder BoltThunder Bolt Summons thunder bolts that deal damage in an AoE, including any enemies or allies if in range.
Mage Arena Dark BlastDark Blast Shoots a beam of dark energy that deals damage in an AoE. The attack pierces through walls and terrain, and can damage both enemies and allies.
Mage Arena RockRock Drops a large rock in an area, propeling everyone in its path. This rock will block the way for 26 secs, before dispelling.

The 6 secret spells above are not part of the Spellbook. Instead, you need to equip a secret spell's Torn Page first and then casting it similar to the default spells. Torn Pages can be obtained from chests, vases, and gnomes!

From Chests, Vases, Gnomes, and Players

You can get new spells by breaking the vases in the dark recesses of the Mausoleum, opening chests, and interacting with the gnomes in the magical forest. Also, you can loot torn spell pages from dead players.

How to Use Spells

Open the Page and Say the Spell

To cast spells, you must first go to the right spell page in your spellbook. Once you're on the right page, say the spell out loud. If your spell page and incantation don't match, you won't cast the spell.

For example: if you want to cast Fireball, your spellbook must be opened and turned to the Fireball page. If you want to use a secret spell, hold the torn page in your hand instead.

A Total of 10 Spells

As of version 0.7.6, Mage Arena only has 10 different spells. Four basic spells are available by default in your spellbook, while the remaining six spells are unlocked by picking up torn pages across different areas of the map.
