Ambush Enemies Using Dark Blast
Dark Blast is a powerful spell that deals AoE damage. It can pass through walls, allowing you to catch enemies by surprise with proper positioning.
Dark Blast Effects and How to Get
Combo With Wisp
Wisp can also go through walls and track nearby enemies. Cast this before Dark Blast when trying to deal damage to targets behind walls to confirm their position.
Wisp to Escape Enemies
Wisp is a handy spell, especially if you are in a dire situation. While it cannot deal any damage, you can use the spell to slow down enemies while you make your escape.
You can also use Wisp if you are chasing an enemy. Wisp also has zero cooldown, so you can use the spell repeatedly!
Deny Areas With Rock
While the Rock spell can deal damage, it is also highly effective at blocking off areas. With proper placement, you can use Rock to keep enemies away from your team's flag.
Immobilize Targets With Freeze
Just as its name implies, the Freeze spell will freeze targets in place on top of dealing damage. This can be used to make enemies easier targets and prevent them from reaching your flag.
Magic Missile Against Evasive Enemies
If you have a hard time hitting your enemies, use Magic Missile to defeat them. Magic Missile is difficult to avoid since it chases the target.
Since the damage of Magic Missile is weaker compared to Fireball and Freeze, it is best used when your enemy is low in health and trying to escape.

As of the 0.7.6 ROCK patch, Dark Blast and Wisp are the top spells in the game. Dark Blast has amazing damage potential with its AoE range while Wisp has a ton of utility that can be used in a variety of ways.
Meanwhile, Rock and Freeze have great defensive capabilities on top of being able to deal damage. If you're looking for more straightforward offensive spells then Magic Missile and Fireball are solid options.
