Hilgigars uses high damaging physical attacks and moves. Hilgigars also has a near impossible to steal item, and it is not suggested to even attempt to steal it, unless you are feeling extremely lucky.
Earthquake deals high damage to all your party members.
Make sure that float is always applied to your party. Float can help you avoid Earthquake, saving everyone from a high damaging attack. Have either Garnet or Eiko focus on healing, while the others deal damage to Hilgigars.
