No need for the hostilities. I'm with you in that optional bosses are there to challenge players but I get why some people would have trouble with them and would rather not face them

With all of the complaining people are doing over the changes to the story, I hope we get a proper remake, or even just a remaster of the original with better graphics after all this
If u didnt play the original, you wont understand why: Hojo is taken by the whispers The party's glimpses of the future What the whispers are trying to do. And other info that I wont even go to lengths here anymore since a lot of people here gets offended easily.

I agree. With the changes to the game's story, you won't be able to appreciate what's going on without a background of the original. Plus, the original's just a great game on its own that everyone should play
I don't think they were trying to fix the story or anything, instead I think they wanted to tell a new story within the FF7 universe, which is why we got what we got with the remake

Yeah, the guy that replied mostly is right but to sum it up for you. Cloud took the persona of zack that he knew during the nibelheim incident. He never knew what zack does or who he has been with during midgar and other events of his life.
Yes of course! Change is welcome. In fact, we highly loved the changes they made to the way the story progresses and how the battle system changed! We loved the graphics, we loved the soundtrack! But please dont change the story! Dont fix what isnt broken!

I guess that's why this part has remake in the title, cause I don't think the next couple of parts are going to be remakes at all...
Anyone who thinks optional bosses take the joy out of gaming clearly aint enjoying the GAMEPLAY portion of an rpg. Story bosses are there to proceed the story but optional bosses are there to test your skills and k owledge of the game. If u cant beat them or are having trouble with them then you're just a noob.

They're obviously sidequests and we all k ow sidequests doesnt affect the story of a jrpg.
Right!?!? Like why??? Did they just do it to make a dramatic ending for part1? They can do that in a lot of different ways! But doing it like this makes it that the following games will surely change and not follow the original anymore.

The way they did it clearly isnt meant for the new fans. There are clear hints that can only be understood by playing the original. Which is why I say people should play the original. It's just the way this game is made.
In Crisis core Cloud is on speaking terms with Zack, but that's more Zack, who is very outgoing, than Cloud (who is his same old brooding self). Both from country towns so Zack bonds over that a bit, but he is just a normal infantrymen. Aerith and Zack, they aren't officially together. There is a strong mutual attraction, and it would have happened, but they are in their mid-teens when the Nibelheim incident occurs. To Aerith, Zack disappears one day, and he came off as a flirt. ***Some pretty Major spoilers below*** Cloud was never a SOLDIER (I remember Crisis core better than the original for Zack stuff, so hopefully I'm not wrong) They were both in Nibelheim when Sephiroth goes psychotic, both are badly injured, and become test subjects for Hojo - which gives clouds the Mako eyes and Jenova cells etc. There is a bit more to say, so I'll make a second post, because it might be non-canon
Hi guys, so I am a bit confused as to why Cloud does not recognize Aerith upper sector 8 when she tried to sell him the flower. My understanding is that Cloud (having been exposed to mako and Sephiroth cells (ie Jenova Cells) ) he was in a comatose state at which point he contracted amnesia and somehow took on the persona of Zack, as Zack was in his unit and he cared for him during his comatose state. My question is wouldn’t Zack have mentioned Aerith to Cloud, I mean she was his girlfriend.
FF7 is a game that shaped my early adolescence. It has always been my favorite game and a chance to play it again with better graphics is just amazing!!
