I was able to get the gold armor from a villager working at their craft bench.
I also got a DIY bottle with the "I struck DIY Gold" message but the DIY turned out to be for Decoy Duck ._.
Not sure if it is known from what I see online. But today I got a DIY Bottle saying something along the lines of "I struck DIY Gold". After seeing that I noticed my recipe was Gold Armor Shoes. Not the Gold Armor recipe everyone else is searching for the robot. It costs 4 Gold Nuggets to craft those shoes.
I got the golden armour day from a villager
If you find Gulliver and collect his 5 communicator parts, but DON'T give them to him, they will turn into rusted parts the next day. That significantly shortens the time it'll take to collect 30. However, there is still a nook miles achievement for helping him 30 times, so it's gotta be done at some point.
