A full 252 EVs are placed in Calyrex Shadow Rider's Sp. Atk and Speed to make it hit as hard and fast as possible. The extra 4 EVs are put into its HP to help round out its bulk.

Other Viable Moves

Grass Knot Helps Calyrex Shadow Rider deal with common Pokemon that are used to wall it like Ting-Lu.

Save Terastallization for the Perfect Moment

Terastallization is a very important tool to ensure Calyrex Shadow Rider stays alive and doesn't get knocked out by moves with an increased priority.

If you don't use or have Terastallization, Calyrex Shadow Rider can easily get knocked out by Shadow Sneak or Sucker Punch. On the other hand, if you use it too early, it could get knocked out by moves like Extreme Speed or Bullet Punch if it Terastallizes to Fairy.
