You can get the Magnum in the Courtyard area at the Hospital. You can only get the Manum as Jill since getting the Magnum requires a smaller person to crawl under stacked hospital equipment before jumping out of the window towards the courtyard in order to get the Magnum.

What Should You Use the Magnum On?

The earliest you can get the Magnum is at the Hospital as Jill. The best enemy that you can use the Magnum on is Pale Heads. Because of the extremely high damage of the Magnum, Pale Heads instantly die after receiving a headshot from the Magnum.

The Magnum also has very limited ammo since it is hard to craft it and you only get a small amount of ammo after crafting it. In order to maximize the ammo of the Magnum it is better to use it on high danger level enemies like the Pale Head or Nemesis.
