It could also be difficult for the mastermind too. I know how frustrating it is to play against 4 players who actually have teamwork. Playing a lot of Dead by Daylight taught me how hard playing the solo guy is.
Wait, would it be boring for the survivors if the mastermind is kinda bad at being the mastermind? all the tensions and difficulty would have to come from the skill of the mastermind. Or is it enough for them to just drop zombies in?
The mastermind's role is basically the same as that masked guy from saw (don't know his name since I gave up watching that movie)
So basically, if you have a survivor that's basically a rock, you'll have to risk neck and limb for him or her to get out, then become fodder again? Oh boi.
Oh heck yes. The fear factor will definitely be gone, but it'll still be a brand new Resident Evil experience. I'm down. What if instead of chibi, every zombie is an infected baby that can be saved within 24 hours. You still have to survive against the ones trying to kill you, but will kill you them, knowing that they can be saved? Hm. Moral dilemma. Already interesting.
But what if that is a chibi virus universe? Will you still play?
Right! Aside from the fear factor, I want to play a game with new and interesting characters. I think a new Resident Evil game can be successful with a brand new set of characters. Heck, it doesn't even need to be about Umbrella. As long as they use their imaginations and stick with what works, Capcom can make a whole new Resident Evil universe and people will STILL play.
I feel like any one of these Resistance characters could carry a RE game on their own. They're the most interesting parts of this game. I want to know their origins and what makes them tick. A separate game about their stories is something I would be happy to pay for.
They won't have much choice really, its either buy the game with resistance mode and play it or buy the game with resistance mode and not play wasting your 60USD
Now how about that? An online Cops and Robbers game with the characters replaced with survivors and zombies.
Resistance mode looks exciting, dont care what other people says. U guys can stick to mercenary mode and for all I care, u guys will probably play resistance mode soon too anyways.
I would have rather had a two-player coop like Resident Evil 5. NOT 6, OKAY, 5 WAS STILL FUN NOT SIX

Exactly. RE2 was just like 30$. Now RE3 is releasing at 60$. There's no mercenary mode and they're giving us this multiplayer instead. I honestly do not think it looks good.
So they removed a classic mode for a multiplayer mode that will probably badly balanced. Believe me, asymetrical vs multiplayer games usually have crappy balancing and isn't the most fun to play with strangers.
Is this the reason why the game is much more expensive than RE2? A tacked on multiplayer mode nobody asked for? I wish there was an option to buy just the singleplayer for cheaper.
Well, this kinda feels like Deceit. The only difference is that the enemy is not hiding within the survivors lol. I'm excited about how things will turn out when this is out.
Ooooh ending friendships. I like that. Especially when you play as the mastermind and use some hacks. A surefire way to never play with them again.
I think it will also have a queue systems and it will also be good to have an option to play among your friends and end your friendship after playing this mode.
Yes it's as 5. What I meant to say is, is it possible to specifically choose who you will play with. Or is it a queue type system where you get paired up with 4 other strangers. Partying as 4 resistance members against 1 mastermind sounds awesome for me.
