Shiny Charm

Shiny Charm is a Key Item in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra DLC. Find out its effects, how to get it, as well as tips on when and how to use it.

Effect A shiny charm said to increase the chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon.

Obtaining the Shiny Charm will increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Pokemon in the wild.

It also increases your chance of getting Shiny Pokemon in Dynamax Adventures!

How to Get Shiny Charm

1. Complete the Pokedex

Complete the Pokedex

All Pokemon available in the base game must be caught in order to complete the Pokedex. It is recommended to trade with other players, use the Surprise Trade, and hatch eggs to accomplish this task.

Be reminded that getting Mew is not needed to get the Shiny Charm.

2. Travel to Circhester

Travel to Circhester

Fly to Circhester and go to Hotel Ionia, the building on the left at the center of the city.

3. Talk to the Director

Talk to the Director

Enter the building and take the elevator to the second floor. The Director can be found on the leftmost room of the floor. Speak to him and he will give you the Shiny Charm!
