In a surprise announcement on February 5, 2025, it was announced that the digital Xbox One version will be releasing on the same day.

On September 3, the Marvel vs. Capcom Twitter (X) page announced that "after technical discussions with our partners at Microsoft, we can confirm that MARVEL vs CAPCOM Fighting Colletion: Arcade Classics will release on Xbox One!" During a Nintendo Direct held in June 2024, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was announced to be an upcoming collection to be available for the Nintendo Switch.

The game was officially announced to be an upcoming title to be released this 2024 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. This was the first time several of the older Marvel vs Capcom arcade games were ported to current generation consoles.

It was announced on Twitter(X) that the game’s digital version will be released on September 12, 2024. Additionally, the game will also have a physical version to be released on November 22, 2024, which comes with an exclusive comic book that has an original storyline and art.

It was announced on Twitter (X) that the Xbox version will be scheduled for release on 2025. It was originally not supposed to be released for Xbox, but Capcom and Microsoft reached an agreement to have it released for next year.
