One of Inky's hiding spots is the small gap after Box Galaxy when you walk towards the Metro Station.
Just got the Inky is hurt one as well, he was on top of the moped so I think it can just happen anywhere Inky normally spawns. Feeding gave me Trust increase.
although it's clear to see this but i just wanna say it takes place on top of the trash bin near officier mewmew
This is probably a new trust event when Inky is hurt. Petting it will result in trust decrease, not sure about the other option but it can be significant increase, increase or remain unchanged.
Inky can also be found in the wall gap next to gadget store. This is a tough one to find.

Disclaimer: This could also be a Trust Level 3 thing, not sure if the purring appears on Trust Level 2 to be honest.
In 1.1 they changed the feed/pet dialogues in the german client. While both dialogues still say "Vielleicht" as it's the same word for maybe and perhaps, they added purring sounds before it which determine if inky wants to be pet or fed. purring once is feed, purring twice is pet.

As a german I have the same problem maybe is "vielleicht" and perhaps is "vielleicht". This guide need a language based option
try the one on youtube, the guide in here is not accurate. Search for the video called "NEW & EASIEST Way to ADOPT INKY in ZZZ | Zenless Zone Zero Adopt Pet Cat Guide" from Quirk. I follow the step from him and almost get Inky by now
During Hide-and-Seek, Inky can be found the wall pocket near Box Galaxy.
Did they change the Perhaps/Maybe fork for the Inky? Because I chose the right option through the guide but god trust decrease (regardless of the meowing type)
The fact that you NEED to see the diference in some not normaly important words like maybe and perhaps or you'll get trust decrease is terrible. But at least we can have a cat :)

This should not be the case. There is always a correct answer and the wording of the trust event does matter. The only mistake you might have done is not pay attention to the whole dialog option. "Meow-ow... (MAYBE ...)" -> Feeding "Meow-ow... (PERHAPS ...)" -> Petting Only during this dialog you have to look for the keyword "perhaps". Other dialogs like "Me-ow...! (Perhps...)" would require feeding but this is a comepletely different dialog and it is mentioned in the guide.
I've had the same issue with this guide and others. It seems the wording only matters sometimes. I've gotten decreases on petting a fee times despite the wording being to pet.
This is absolutely misleading! Inky has been driving me nuts trying to figure out what to do each time I interact. Found this page and thought, “Finally! I won’t have to deal with trust decreases anymore.” According to this, Perhaps means pet; Maybe means feed… just got Perhaps, and a trust decrease when I selected pet. So aggravated with this trust mission, screw you Hoyo!
