How to Get Yoshi Cookie

Hit the Statues at Belome Temple at Left → Middle → Right Order

In Belome Temple, pay the Shaman 50 coins to have your fortune told. Then, hit the statues in a left→right→middle order. Proceed to receive the Yoshi Cookie.

You can repeatedly get your fortune told and hit the statues again to farm for Yoshi Cookies.

Win Yoshi Races

Winning the Yoshi races in Yo'ster Isle will also give you Yoshi Cookies as a reward. Note that you need to bet Yoshi Cookies to enter the race though, but if you have none, you can get 3 free cookies from the Red Yoshi near the Goal.

How to Use Yoshi Cookie

Summon Yoshi to Defeat Enemy

Yoshi Cookie is used on enemies to instantly defeat them. Depending on the enemy type, there are different outcomes. Note that this item won't work on bosses.

Eating Edible Enemies Give Items Depending on Enemy

When you manage to have Yoshi eat an enemy, you'll gain an item depending on what the enemy is. For example, eating an Amanita will give you Poison Mushrooms while eating a Fireball will give you a Fire Bomb.

Failing to Eat Gives You Yoshi Candy or Yoshi-ade

When you fail to have Yoshi eat an enemy, you'll get a Yoshi Candy instead most of the time. Rarely, you'll get a Yoshi-ade instead.

Used to Bet on Yoshi Races

Yoshi Cookies are used outside of battle to bet on the Mushroom Derby in Yo'ster Isle, where Yoshis race to the finish line. You can also use them during the race to get ahead.

Feed to Fat Yoshi to Gain Items

If you hatch an egg in Yo'ster Isle and feed the Baby Yoshi 30 Yoshi Cookies, they will appear bigger and rounder the next time you visit.

After becoming Fat Yoshi, this creature will hatch an egg that contains a random item if you keep feeding him 10 to 20 Yoshi Cookies every time. You can only hold a maximum of 20 cookies at a time.
