Complete Merlin's Shards Quest

Merlin Rifts Quest

You must first complete Merlin's Shards Quest. This involves talking to Merlin at Sunstone Island and having him open rifts for you every 20 minutes.

These rifts contain obbies with shards for you to collect at the end. Offer Merlin all shards to complete the quest and gain the Merlin's Veil buff.

Enter The Chasm

The Chasm Location

With Merlin's Veil active, drop down the cliff behind Merlin to locate the entrance to The Chasm. Simply swim down to enter the new location.

Collect the Time Shard and Iron Chunk in the Chasm

It is possible to obtain the Time Shard by filling up the empty shrines within The Chasm. Meanwhile, the Iron Chunk can be caught by fishing within the area.

Get an Anomalous Log With a Training Rod

It is recommended to fish for an Anomalous Log by using the Training Rod. Ideally, you can also have it modified with the Anomalous enchantment for a high chance of getting the correct mutation.

What is Merlin's Staff?

Merlin Exclusive Fishing Rod

Merlin's Staff is an exclusive Fishing Rod available only in Merlin's Shop in Sunstone Island. Merlin's Staff requires a Time Shard, an Anomalous Log, an Iron Chunk, and 1,000,000 money.
