    It's highly recommended for this game to kill all mobs to get some loot out of them. So this is the right choice.

    You can just kill all of them first before you get the key. They will not spawn again once you kill all of them when you got the key.

    It's annoying whenever I dropped the key because of mobs. They're just too many.
