Should You Pull for Milla?

Pull For Her If You Want To Delay Your Opponents' Abilities

Milla DB Image (1).png

One of the highlights of Milla's kit is how she can inflict the [Delayed] status effect on her opponents, which increases the number turns they have to wait before recasting their abilities by 1. The ability to delay abilities from being casted is very powerful, as it's often abilities that affect the battlefield the most, rather than just basic attacks. A lot can happen in one turn, and whether or not key units can cast their spells can dictate whether a match is won or lost. This is especially true for long battles with multiple rounds, since the longer the match, the more abilities have been casted.

Milla can cast her Rondo of Courage and hit 2 targets for some damage, but the highlight of this ability is its good odds of inflicting [Delayed] on targets, as well as the 10% max HP heal she receives.

She Works Well Even at One Merge

Milla is more of a support unit that excels at beefing up and regenerating her allies' HP while inflicting the [Delayed] debuff on her enemies. That said, she can do that at just her base rarity, and just use the level link feature to go over her maximum level.

Naturally, you'll want to get her to LR, like most other base SR characters. Doing so will unlock her ultimate weapon, as well as increase her stats to allow her to perform better. If you think Milla will be a staple on your team, it's best to get as much copies as you can to get her to LR. If that's not an option, just one copy will still benefit your team a lot.

Pull For Her If You Run Lots of Emerald Units

Milla grants her allies buffs to their max HP as well as the ability to regenerate back a percentage of their max HP back. These defensive abilities are amplified when the buffed units are Emerald soul characters, and greatly increases their survivability. If you're running teams that have multiple Emerald units like Cordie, Merlyn, Fia, and Alexandra, pulling for Milla would most likely be an excellent idea.

Pull If You Like Her Story

Milla is an innocent and easygoing girl who gets along with everyone she comes across. She's a wandering bard, whose instrument of choice is the guitar. Other than music, she absolutely loves food, and you'll always see her with some kind of food in her mouth.

When Not To Pull For Milla

If You Don't Use Emerald Units

While Milla is a great unit to have and it's true that you could still get value off of her [Delayed] debuff, if you're not running her with other Emerald units, you're not using Milla to her fullest potential. Other than the [Delayed] debuff and the strong late game damage if she survives up to that point, Milla's buffs are average at best when it comes to buffing units of other Soul types. Say you're running an all-Chaos team or a Florence team with just Merlyn as the lone Emerald, you're probably better off using other support units instead.

If Your Battles End Fast

Some teams often find themselves winning or losing battles within the first 3 or 4 rounds, while others are designed to drag the battle out over a long period of time. Milla thrives on the latter, while she finds limited value in the former. Battles ending fast means that her [Delayed] debuff won't even waste as many turns, and she won't reach the point in the battle where her Snack Stash skill deals 1760% of her ATK as damage, as she has to heal from active abilities 6 times before she can do this.
