I'll be watching this closely. Now that they've started this, don't stop now. I'm feeling a FF8 Remake should be in the works.

They poured their last souls into it and named it as their last game hence the title Final Fantasy. For the chocobo, they just made some people make random doodles, the chocobo was a character a guy with no art skills made. They made that doodle into a character and turned it to a yellow chicken you can ride. Yeah, the creature's name is a chocobo.

It's so entertaining to have this come out 22 years. It's like they've been planning to resurrect it all these years, yeah?

All of this real-time stuff was probably made to cater to the declining attention spans and to the increased need for instant gratification of today's youth. If it's real-time, then it's just a plain ol' RPG.

>>426 I was thinking there might be a flashback story where you control zack and not cloud since technically spoliersss for those who have no idea about the story of a 23 yr old game. Cloud's memory reimagined himself as zack due to mako poisoning. So the flashback event can just happen easily while transfering every stats cloud got to zack and vice versa.

While Barrett sounds like he's a brag when he fights, love how Cloud shoots him down each time. Ah...good ol' days, indeed.

I hope the map gets fixed. I like seeing a little detail in my games, where I'm going, small details too. The current map doesn't have that.

Anyone else think they should have kept the sound effects from the original? Those cursor sounds are what childhood sounds like to me

Coming here from FF12 and FF8. I do hope the mechanics of the game won't be too complicated, just like FF12 has.
