A guide on how to easily earn points playing Chocobo Hot and Cold in Final Fantasy IX (FFIX, FF9). Read on to learn the technique to get every Chocograph and buy all the items from Mene with ease.

Chocobo Hot and Cold Trick

Use the Fast Forward Feature!

The Chocobo Hot and Cold requires patience, technique, and more patience in order to get Chocograph and to save up points to buy rare items from Mene. This is no longer an issue with the newly added fast forward feature!

How does it Work?

Only Gameplay is Sped Up


FF9 Bonus Points

Obtaining a huge amount of points after getting max amount of items.


The fast forward feature shortens your animation speed, speeds up your movement but it does not speed up the time limit! This means you have plenty of time to spam the dig button all over the place and still get the maximum amount of items every time you play!
