Contrary to popular belief, the scorpion can be attacked whil hiding in the debris. Just switch to barret since the scorpion always focuses cloud. Hope they change that in the real game.

You can blast scorpion while its jumpin on the wall with a fire spell.
Let's not forget the mistranslation for this battle where barret tells you to attack it while it's tail is up. Only to tell you after 10 years that it will counter if you do.
Just attacked it from behind. No lock on or anything and it worked. Prolly not the answer you want but meh.

There are two kinds of people, those who beat it on easy mode, and those who changed the difficulty to easy mode to beat it. Kidding aside, it is pretty easy to beat as long as you play properly (playing on normal mode.)

Boss fight was so easy. I could beat it blindfolded with only audio cues.
