I made around a quarter of my first island - back when I had no plans - into a giant orchard that gave almost 100k bells from a single harvest with the bell boom ordinance <333 I highly recommend!!
Sell produce like tomatoes and wheat. You can get it from Kapp'n's boat tours or buy from Leif and it give sooo much money. (I got 100,000 bells in one day from only selling produce.)

Check if your tree is too close to other objects. Place it two tiles away from other objects to make sure they have enough space.
Trees won't grow without enough space around them. They’re probably too close to something..
Is it possible to slow down the growth of your money tree? I moved them closer to my house and I noticed that they are not growing anymore.
