What is Spec. Def?

Resistance to Special Attacks

The Special Defense stat determines how resistant a Folklore will be against Special Attacks from enemies in battle.

Special Attack-type Folklore typically have higher Special Defense than Physical Attack-type Folklore, whereas Physical Attack-type Folklore have higher Physical Defense.

How to Increase Spec. Def?

Expansion Items and Credits Increase Spec. Def.

You can increase your Folklore's Special Defense by raising the Grade of your Folklore. Before you can raise the Grade of your Folklore, you will have to expand their basic stats with Expansion Items and Credits.

If your Folklore's type is Special as opposed to Physical, Spec. Def is one of the stats you'll have to expand for that character.

Leveling up your Folklore through battles can also increase its Spec. Def stat. Battle Records can also be used through the 'Level' tab in the Character Menu to level up your Folklore outside of battle.
