All Fire Party Play Style

Musashi ★★★	Single-Target DPS • Will act as the Single Target DPS of the team. Her Active Skill allows her to boost her Phys. Atk and deal increased damage to Defense-type enemies. • Antoinette can also boost her Phys. Atk, making Musashi's attacks even more powerful.
Surtr ★★★	AoE DPS • Takes on the Crowd Control role in the party with her ability to strike 3 targets at once with her Crash Skill. • If her second Active Skill is used, her Phys. Atk gets stronger depending on the number of Fire element allies she has on the field. • Can also boost her attack power by inflicting Burn damage on her enemies and getting the 'Burn Slayer' buff through her Crash Skill. • Antoinette can boost her attack power even further through. Surtr's Crash Skill gives her the 'Oil Slayer' buff that gives her increased damage to enemies afflicted with Oil Damage.
Antoinette ★★	Support • Can use her Active Skills to raise Musashi and Surtr's Phys. Atk. • Can inflict both Oil and Burn damage on enemies making them vulnerable to attacks from Surtr. • Her passive raises the Phys. Def of Fire element allies in the party.
Himiko ★★★	Healer/Support • Can heal 3 allies at once. • Can reduce one enemy's HP Recovery by 50% for 2 turns and heal self.

Main Strategy

On turn 1 you’ll want to activate Surtr’s active skill before using any other allies' skills as she gets a Phys. Atk buff for every fire ally’s skill used. Next use Musashi’s active skill 2 and then 1 to boost her Phys. Atk., followed by Antoinette’s active skill to stack another buff onto Musashi’s Phys. Atk.

Inflict enemies with Burn and Oil, then buff with Burn Slayer and Oil Slayer to capitalize on enemies afflicted with Burn using Surtr’s multi-target Crash Skill. Use Himiko to heal up on subsequent turns if the party takes too much damage.

Qin Shi Huang ★★★	Support • Debuffs enemies' Phys. Def with his Crash Skill and Active Skill making them more vulnerable to Lancelot's Physical attacks. • Passive decreases the Phys. Atk of one Quest enemy if there are at least 2 Earth allies on the field including Qin Shi Huang.
Cleopatra ★★	AoE DPS • Cleopatra hits four targets with her Crash Skill, weakening targets for Lancelot or Qin Shi Huang to finish off. Aim for Cleopatra's level 3 Crash Skill if you can to increase the AoE damage. • Can boost her Spec. Atk by absorbing her own panels, though this will lower the chances to level up her Crash Skill in Attack Mode.
Perseus ★★	Tank • Can provoke enemy attacks for 3 turns and put up a barrier that blocks a certain amount of damage. • Great to have when dealing with Spec. Atk-type enemies, since her skills increase her Spec. Def stat.

Main Strategy

In this All-Earth party, Lancelot and Cleopatra will act as your main damage dealers, with Qin Shi Huang and Perseus as support and tank respectively.

At the start of the fight, activate Lancelot's first active skill. You can also activate her second active skill if you're going up against Buff-type enemies. Then activate Qin Shi Huang's first active skill to debuff the enemy's Phys. Def, and have Perseus draw aggro with her first active skill. Make sure to outfit her with a Phys. Def World Memory like Friendly Detour to also increase her Phys. Def.

Afterward, focus on leveling up Cleopatra and Lancelot's Crash Skills.

All Water Party Play Style

Archimedes ★★★	Semi-AOE DPS • The main Spec. Atk DPS of the party, her Crash Skill hits two enemies at a time. Both her Active and Passive Skills raise her Spec. Atk stat further with no requirements, making her attacks more powerful at no cost.
Viviane ★★	Support • Her first Active Skill allows her to inflict Virus damage, which damages enemies for a few turns. • Another Active Skill of hers grants the "Virus Slayer" buff to herself and one other ally, making any Virus-afflicted enemies more vulnerable to their attacks. This means the player can choose to either make Physical Attacks (Kojiro) or Special Attacks (Archimedes) stronger.
Kojiro ★★	Single-Target DPS • The main Phys. Atk DPS of the party, Kojiro boosts her Phys. Atk by way of her Crash Skill. She can also boost the Phys. Atk of allies with an Active Skill that absorbs panels. • Another skill allows her to lengthen a turn's Attack Mode phase so you can break more panels and strengthen her Crash Skill further. • Boosts the Phys. Atk of her allies if there are two or more Water element Folklore in the party as well.
Hippocrates ★★★	Support / Healer • The main healer of the party, Hippocrates can heal one ally with her Crash Skill, essentially allowing her to heal one ally per turn. • Her Active Skill also removes Defense debuffs from allies.

Main Strategy

The main damage dealers in this party are Archimedes and Kojiro, both of whom already have their own ways of boosting their attack power.

First, cast both of Archimedes' active skills to boost her Spec. Atk and grant her a barrier that will absorb damage. Afterward, use Kojiro's first active skill to lengthen Attack Mode and buff her Phys. Atk stat. You can then use Viviane to inflict the enemy with the 'Virus' status effect and grant Kojiro the 'Virus Slayer' buff to Kojiro, so she'll deal more damage.

Keep leveling Kojiro and Archimedes' Crash Skills. But level up and use Hippocrates' Crash Skill if you need to heal one of your party mates.

All Wood Party Play Style

Wang ★★	Support / AoE DPS • Her Active Skills not only debuff the Spec. Atk of her enemies, but also make them more vulnerable by 10% to Special Attack-type Folklore, making her great to pair with Rousseau. • Her Crash Skill decreases enemy Spec. Atk further, on top of being a light AoE DPS.
Rousseau ★★★	Single-Target DPS / Support • Complements both Wang and Asclepius by boosting her Spec. Atk with her Crash and Active Skills. • Her second Active Skill can grant the Phys. Atk-type Slayer buff, which deals increased damage to Physical Attack-type enemies.
Hercules ★★	Support / Tank • Her Active Skills absorb panels and boosts her own Phys. Def while debuffing the Phys. Def of her enemies. • Her second Active Skill grants herself and another ally a damage-absorbing barrier, while also making herself the target of attacks. This saves Rousseau and Wang from damage.
Neu ★	AoE DPS • All-around damage dealer capable of hitting two enemies at once. • Her first Active Skill allows her to get Crash Skill panels in battle quickly, meaning she can deal more damage to groups of foes. • Her second Active Skill lengthens the time for Attack Mode, which gives you more time to break more panels and unlock more Crash Skills.

Main Strategy

Here, Wang and Neu will be your main damage dealers, supported by Rousseau and Hercules.

First, use Wang's active skill 'The Art of War' to debuff the Spec. Def of four enemies. Afterward, use her second active skill to boost her own Spec. Atk and make two enemies take increased damage from Special-type attacks. Next, use Rousseau's first active skill to boost Wang's damage further. If you're up against Phys. Atk enemies, use her second active skill too for the Phys. Atk-slayer buff.

As for Neu, use her first and second active skills for a longer Attack Mode, higher Phys. Atk & Def, and a Lv. 1 Crash Skill panel. Then use Hercules' first active skill to increase her own Phys. Def and weaken the Phys. Atk of two targeted enemies. Use her second active skill to draw aggro for the rest of the team.

All Light Party Play Style

Nietzsche ★★	Single-Target DPS • A capable Spec. Atk DPS whose Crash Skill can inflict heavy damage on a single foe. • The rest of her skills can increase her Spec. Atk power further while making her deadly against Recovery-type enemies.
Longinus ★★★	Single-Target DPS • Very high Phys./light single-target DPS. • Can convert an ally's panels into her own with an Active Skill and boost Phys. Atk. of self. • Can convert one of her own panels into a Skill Panel and boost Phys. Def of self.
Nightingale ★★	Support • Acts as both the healer of the team as well as support through the use of skills that remove the status buffs of enemies on the field. • Her Passive Skill decreases the HP Recovery of her enemies.
Amadeus ★★★	Single-Target DPS / Support • Crash Skill deals heavy damage against a single enemy. • Can also decrease the Spec. Def of her enemies, making them vulnerable to attacks from her allies. • Has a 60% chance to inflict Skill Bind on enemies, preventing them from using powerful skills.

Main Strategy

The All-Light team has both Nietzsche and Longinus act as the main DPS units, with Amadeus as Nietzsche's support and Nightingale as the team's healer.

First, boost Nietzche's Spec. Atk with her Active Skill 'The Ubermensch Plan'. If you need to take on enemies like Bright Monas or Recovery-type characters in general, use her 'God is Dead' skill to give her the 'Recovery-type Slayer' buff. Then with Amadeus, cast the 'Queen of the Night' Active Skill which not only decreases the Spec. Def of two enemies, but also has a 60% chance to inflict Skill Bind.

Meanwhile, Longinus will play as the party's Phys. Atk DPS. Use her first active skill and convert Nightingale's panels into your own. Activate Longinus' second active skill too if you want to get a Lv.1 Skill Panel quickly.

As for Nightingale, her Skill 'Angel of the Crimea' can heal 1 ally per turn, which will be useful to keep her fellow party members alive. Use it as needed. If you have an enemy that has many status buffs, use Nightingale's second active skill to remove them.

All Dark Party Play Style

Ushiwakamaru ★★★	AoE DPS • Can damage 4 enemies at once, making her ideal for taking out many enemies at once. • Debuffs the Phys. Def of multiple enemies, making them more vulnerable to her attacks at the cost of her own Phys. Def. • Another Active Skill absorbs her panels to decrease the Phys. Atk of enemies. • Her Passive Skill boosts her Phys. Atk if there are still four enemies on the field.
Pygmalion ★★	Single-Target DPS / Support • Acts as a minor Spec. Atk DPS that also boosts the attack and defense power of other Spec. Atk allies like Hannibal in the field. • Casts a barrier that can protect her from enemy attacks.
Joan ★★★	Single-Target DPS / Support • Aside from dealing heavy damage with her Crash Skill, Joan can also boost the Phys. Atk power of her team depending on how many Dark element or Buff-type allies are present. • The same mechanic can also increase her own Phys. Atk power and lengthen the Attack Mode phase during turns.
Andersen ★	Support • Decreases the Phys. Atk of Physical Attack type enemies and lowers their Phys. Def. • Also decreases the Spec. Atk of Special Attack type enemies while decreasing their Spec. Def. • Her passive skill lowers both the Phys. Def and Spec. Def of her enemies.

Main Strategy

The All-Dark party benefits from having one of the most powerful PvE and PvP characters in the game, Ushiwakamaru, and the rest of the party helping boost her attack power even further.

First, cast Ushiwakamaru's Active Skill 'Night Sonata of Kurama', which decreases the Phys. Def of four random enemies. You can then have Joan cast 'Go Forward Bravely' to boost Ushiwakamaru's attack further.

Meanwhile, Andersen can cast her Active Skill 'Mermaid's Tears' to debuff both the enemy's Phys. Atk and Phys. Def, making them more vulnerable to Ushiwakamaru's attack.

Pygmalion meanwhile is useful in this setup to grant a 'barrier' to Ushiwakamaru so she can stay safe from damage for a while.

Best Multi-Element Parties Explained

Phys. Atk PvE Party Play Style

Character	Role
Lancelot ★★★	Single-Target DPS • Though her passive skill will not work in this setup, Lancelot's Crash Skill is still valuable as it ignores an enemy's defense. She can also be supported by Phys. Atk buffs from Kojiro, and Phys. Def debuffs from Qin Shi Huang. • But in cases where you will have to face off against Wood-element enemies, you can switch her out for Musashi. But be mindful of the fact that Kojiro's own Phys. Atk buff could overwrite Musashi's own buffs to herself.
Ushiwakamaru ★★★	AoE DPS • One of the most powerful Phys. Atk characters in the game, Ushiwakamaru can wipe the floor with groups of enemies in quests. Her ability to lower the Phys. Def of her enemies also makes them more vulnerable to her attacks, and those of her allies.
Kojiro ★★	Support • Kojiro is one of the better Phys. Atk support characters in the game because of her Phys. Atk buffs and the ability to extend Attack Mode during battle. She can be used to buff either Lancelot or Ushiwakamaru to make their attacks more powerful.
Qin Shi Huang ★★★	Support • Qin Shi Huang makes this team shine by lowering the Phys. Def stats of his enemies. This makes them more vulnerable to attacks from Lancelot/Musashi and Ushiwakamaru, the party's main damage dealers.

Main Strategy

The party revolves around using Ushiwakamaru and Lancelot or Musashi, and increasing their Phys. Atk stat with Kojiro. Qin Shi Huang meanwhile will debuff the enemy's Phys. Def to make them more vulnerable to the party's attacks.

First, level up Ushiwakamaru's Crash Skill 'Still Water Blade: Boat Leap' to a high damage multiplier beyond Level 3, along with Lancelot's Crash Skill 'Fallen Sword: Arondight.'

In the next turn, activate Kojiro's Active Skill 'White Blade's Sparkle' to buff either Ushiwakamaru or Lancelot. Afterward, activate Qin Shi Huang's Active Skill 'The Elixir of Immortality' to weaken the enemy's Phys. Def.

Spec. Atk PvE Party Play Style

Cleopatra ★★	AoE DPS • Here, she will be the main DPS of the party alongside Archimedes. Her Spec. Atk CS can wipe four enemies in a single turn if you level it up high enough, and have her buffed by her allies. Her passive also gives her a Spec. Atk boost as long as she has four Spec. Atk allies with her on the field (note that Cleopatra herself counts as an ally so you only need three).
Archimedes ★★★	AoE DPS • Aside from having Spec. Atk buffs that come at no cost, Archimedes can also target two enemies at the same time with her Crash Skill. This makes her perfect to use along with Cleopatra and Spec. Atk buffers like Rousseau.
Rousseau ★★★	Support • Rousseau is a good Spec. Atk support character to pair with this team mainly because of the Spec. Atk buffs granted by her Crash and Active Skills. • She can also give the Phys. Atk Slayer buffs, making the team deadly to most enemies in the main quest and even the Underground. • Her passive skill also gives the entire party a Spec. Atk boost as long as they're all Special Attack-type characters.
Andersen ★	Support • Decreases the Phys. Atk of Physical Attack type enemies and lowers their Phys. Def. • Also decreases the Spec. Atk of Special Attack type enemies while decreasing their Spec. Def. • Her passive skill lowers both the Phys. Def and Spec. Def of her enemies.

Main Strategy

Here, you'll focus on raising Cleopatra and Archimedes' Crash Skills while buffing them with Rousseau and debuffing enemies with Andersen.

First off, activate Archimedes' Active Skill 'Time to Say Eureka!' to boost her Spec. Atk, as well as 'Foolproof New Theory' to protect her from any potential enemy counter-attack. Afterward, use Rousseau's Active Skill 'The Social Contract', which should raise the Spec. Atk of both Archimedes and Cleopatra. You can also grant them the Phys. Atk-type Slayer buff so they can deal more damage against enemies of that type.

Afterward, cast Andersen's 'Overflowing Fantasy' skill to decrease the Spec. Atk and Spec. Def of two enemies, making them weaker against Cleopatra and Archimedes' attack.

PvP Attack Party Play Style

Musashi ★★★	Single-Target DPS • Still the main damage dealer of the team, complemented by Qin Shi Huang's Physical debuff skills and Ushiwakamaru's AoE Crash Skill, along with her own Phys. Def/Atk debuffs.
Qin Shi Huang ★★★	Support • Softens enemies up for Musashi and Ushiwakamaru by debuffing an enemy's Phys. Def and making them more susceptible to Physical Attacks in general.
Ushiwakamaru ★★★	AoE DPS • One of the best characters for PvP in ALICE Fiction, since her Crash Skill can deal heavy damage to an entire party at once. • Her Active Skills further weaken the enemy party by decreasing their Phys. Def and Phys. Atk.
Hercules ★★★	Tank • Her skills allow her to take most or all of the starting blows of an enemy attack, giving the rest of your party time to counter and take them out first. • Also grants barriers to herself and another ally with her second Active Skill.

Main Strategy

To win PvP matches in the Battle Arena, you should be able to finish off the enemy's defense party in the shortest amount of time possible while still keeping your own party safe.

That's why we recommend having Ushiwakamaru and Musashi as your main damage dealers, especially since Musashi can buff herself to deal more damage against Defense-type folklore. Both Ushiwakamaru and Qin Shi Huang also have their own skills to debuff the enemy's Phys. Def, making them more vulnerable to attacks.

Hercules meanwhile is in the party to draw aggro and debuff the enemy's Phys. Atk. She should be able to buy your party at least two turns before they start taking damage as well.

PvP Defense Party Play Style

Perseus ★★	Tank • The main tank of the group, Perseus is a Physical Attack type character that has high Spec. Def, making her invaluable in any Defense-oriented party since she can hold her own against Special Attack-type folklore for at least a few turns. • You can strengthen her defense power further by equipping her with World Memories like Friendly Detour, which raises her Phys. Def and also reduces damage she will take from Attack-type characters. • She can get further Phys. Def buffs from Kenshin, as well as a barrier from Hercules.
Kenshin ★★★	Support • Useful in defensive strategies, Kenshin can raise an ally's Phys. Def on top of reducing the damage of attacks against them. This makes her useful to pair up with both Perseus and Hercules.
Hercules ★★★	Secondary Tank • Hercules is the secondary tank in the party, since she can both draw aggro and boost her own Phys. Def. She can also protect her allies with barriers.
Asclepius ★★★	Healer • Her ability to both heal the entire party and clear all defense-related debuffs from a single ally will keep this team alive. • Her passive also boosts the HP Recovery Rate of her allies.

Main Strategy

The second half of fighting in the Battle Arena is to set up a good Defense party that will be hard to beat by others trying to climb the ladder. What you want to do is to create a party that will either kill the opposing party, or at least cause them to run out of turns.

That's why we have crafted a party that blunts both Phys. and Spec. Def-based attacks, on top of healing by one of the better healers in the game.

Since the PvP defense team is controlled by the AI during battle, it would be easy for the computer to simply activate their skills and tank out the enemy for the rest of the battle.

Team Combos and Character Synergy

Remember Passive Skills

The key to forming a good party is to make sure your characters will synergize with one another. One way of doing that is checking their Passive Skills.

For example, Lancelot's passive boosts her Phys. Atk but only if she has at least 2 more Earth element allies (she's counted as an 'ally' as well). That means you have to have two Earth allies with her to activate her Passive like Qin Shi Huang and Cleopatra.

Qin Shi Huang makes Lancelot's enemies more vulnerable to her physical attacks, while Cleopatra softens them up with her Spec. Atk AoE. Also, Qin Shi Huang's Passive Skill weakens Quest-related enemies.

But on the other hand, Cleopatra's Passive Skill only works if she has at least three Special-type allies with her. Is this bad synergy? Not necessarily. This brings us to our next point.

Active Skills and Attack Synergy are Important Too

Aside from a Folklore's Passive Skill, you should also consider how well your team will work together in battles, as well as their Active Skills. Though Cleopatra's passive won't activate, her Crash Skill is still powerful and can soften up enemies for Lancelot to deal the final blow.

In our theoretical party, Cleopatra can be paired up with a Spec. Atk support character like Wang so her own AoE Spec. Atk Crash Skill is boosted. The party, despite their passives not synergizing, still works as it deals massive damage to enemies quickly.

Hack Stats Make Single-Element Parties Powerful

There is also a light incentive to make mono-element parties or parties whose members are made up of mostly folklore from one element: Hack Stats. When you're part of a team, you can use Hack Stats to boost the stats of any single class of Folklore in your possession by Element or Type.

Boosting your Hack Stats for a single Element or Type can make your mono-element parties stand out compared to mixed-element parties.
