Quartz Charm or Jinx Belt?

Quartz Charm for Your Main Attacker

Out of the two, Quartz Charm is the best accessory for your main attacker as it increases the character's already high Attack and Magic Attack stats by 50%, instead of a flat amount that could possibly be even lower than a quarter of your attacker's damage stat.

The main downside for this accessory is that its Attack and Defense buffs—being active stat boosts—will disappear when the user faints for the remainder of the battle, and can be purged by attacks like Shredder, leaving the Mortal Blow immunity the only thing it does. You would need to use special moves or items that grant these boosts to have them up again.

Another downside is that the boosts provided by Quartz Charm do not stack with Geno Boost, which provides the same effects. It also does not stack with items which provide attack and defense boosts, like Bracer, Energizer, and Yoshi-Ade. If you're the kind of player who sets up Geno Boost on every character at the start of battle, then it's worth considering prioritizing Jinx Belt as its raw stat increases will avoid this overlap.

The Jinx Belt is generally better for a backup attacker who will not be your primary source of damage, but still needs to focus on physical attacks. It provides a helpful Speed boost of 12, which can help slower characters like Bowser keep up.

The Attack Scarf is the strongest accessory in the game, but it is strictly exclusive to Mario. Once you have it, do not forget to equip it for a massive buff to stats!

Obtain by Completing 30 Consecutive Super Jumps

This accessory can be obtained from Chow in Monstro Town after performing 30 consecutive Super Jumps in a row, and is significantly easier to obtain than the Super Suit (requires 100 consecutive super jumps).

Defeat Culex at Monstro Town.

The Quartz Charm increases your Attack and Magic Attack by 50%, and Defense and Magic Defense by 100%. It also grants you protection from attacks that can deal a Mortal Blow (instant death), such as Boomer's special move.

After the Attack Scarf, it is arguably the second-strongest accessory in the game, and also one of the hardest to get since it requires defeating the secret boss Culex (recommended party level of 20). It has both the effect of Troopa Medal and Ghost Medal.

Defeat Jinx for the third time at Monstro Town.

The Jinx Belt is an accessory that grants a huge boost to the user's Attack and Magic Attack, as well ast their Speed stat. It also grants protection from Mortal Blows (instant death attacks).

This accessory can be obtained by defeating Jinx for the third time at Monstro Town. Jinx gets stronger each time you win, so don't get caught off guard!

Safety Ring

Get in the underwater room behind barrels at the Sunken Ship.

The Safety Ring negates all negative status effects and Mortal Blows (instant death attacks), guaranteeing the equipped character a huge survival rate against anything but brute force.

Peach is the best candidate for this accessory, since this allows her to continue using support moves while being immune to anything that denies her from doing so.

This accessory can be found in a secret underwater room behind some barrels at the Sunken Ship.

The Troopa Medal is a great item to use in dealing with troublesome enemies have the first turn in attacking. This grants the user a 1.5x increase in both Attack and Magic attack stat, as well as a boost to speed by 20 points.

This item is obtained by clearing the Paratroopa Cliff event at Land's End under 12 seconds.

Complete the 3 Musty Fears' scavenger hunt.

The Ghost Medal doubles the Defense and Magic Defense stats of the user. This effectively halves the damage recieved by the user, making it a great item to use against bosses that do tons of damage.

This item is obtained by completing the Three Musty Fears quest which involves collecting three (3) flags found throughout the overworld.

Obtaining it does not show a prompt, but it will automatically be equipped to Mario by default so make sure to check your party after completing the quest.

Booster's Charm is an accessory which halves damage from elemental attacks, as well as boosting all stats except for Speed, which it decreases. Although it is outclassed once the Top Tier Accessories become available, it's one of the premier options in the early to mid-game.

This accessory can only be obtained by winning the Curtain Minigame in Booster Tower, and is permanently missable by failing the minigame.

The Flower Ring is an accessory that reduces a user's FP consumption by half, allowing the use of more special moves. Mario and Mallow are the best candidates for this accessory since their special moves use a lot of FP. Unfortunately, the Flower Ring is just a bit too pricey and generally, it's better to prioritize accessories which provide more damage output rather than saving FP.

This accessory can be obtained by buying it from Frog Sage's Student at Seaside Town.

Unless there's a Triple Move you really want to use, it's not the best option for this stage of the game, making the Teamwork Band rather situational.
