Yes, the right side of the windmill is beyond the well it would fall into. So, if you shoot it off on the right side of the windmill it will fall to the ground and break and you get a Pearl Pendant. Just like in the original there's a way to get a "clean" version if you are clever.
Also if you time it you just get a pearl pendant
