The Rift Pedestal bug prevents players from interacting with the Dark Aether pedestals in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Zombies. Learn what the Rift Pedestal bug is all about and how to fix it!
There was a bug that does not let players interact with the Rift Pedestals in front of the Dark Aether Rift and prevented them from placing Key Items on top of the pedestals.
This left several players unable to open the Dark Aether Rift portal to enter and explore the new Zombies zone that came with the Season 1 update.
In the latest Modern Warfare 3 patch, dated December 7, 2023, the Rift Pedestal bug issue has been resolved and players should now be able to properly interact with the Rift Pedestals.
How to Fix Crashes, Glitches, and Bugs
I was able to interact with it but I put all the items on them and it didn’t open the portal. I tried to take them all out and put them back in but it deleted the diary

Agreed, I went to fight the mega abomination after placing everything, died, came back next game and couldn't place anything on the pedestal. Not to mention, I couldn't get any egg items other than the diary. I hope it gets fixed soon.
