Your vocabulary is impressive. Parroting all the kids on hoyolab must've made you smart.
this is the hardest cope, wtf is a defensive DPS lol. if you want to freeze and break weakness use march or pela, not midqing
bruh, tell me any hunt character that isn't skill point hungry. With Topaz as the exception alongside another DPS, everybody else is going to pretty much be spamming SP. Also, he's supposed to be played as a defensive DPS, breaking weakness bars and freezing enemies. Hence, why his damage numbers aren't going to be shooting to the moon. He needs to be played smartly, not unga bunga everything. Some players just can't be bothered or have the brains to do that 😋
Sounds like skill issue to me. I've seen people use him just fine clearing MOC with 3 stars. Is he bad? No. Is he great? No. He needs tons of help from supports though. With the right supports and strategizing, he does very well. Right now, Ruan Mei is fantastic with him and some people don't even run a shielder with him because they can both prevent the enemy from acting.
With the new Penacony patch, I got a LC for him I feel works well, but haven't tried at higher SI, and it's the Final Victor. Even at SI 1, get 12% extra attack and with Yanqing landing multiple crits often, he easily gets the 32% Crit Damage bonus. Feel it fits him a bit better than others, but I also only have S1 on all my Hunt lightcones cause I'm broke and unlucky
All true, but unless you got a different strong Ice DPS like Jingliu, you're stuck with him. Not including Herta, I only find her good in Pure Fiction.
He's literally so bad, needs all the skill points and has to be shielded 24/7 for average DPS. Also has a weird play style where he goes from no crit to too much crit. Even if they change things to favor him, there's absolutely no point using him over any of the hunt characters; even Sushang is better
Don't be jealous just because you couldn't roll a Yanqing lol
Well, that guy isn't wrong. Look at how lots of people were sh*tting all over Himeko and Herta when this game came out. Some people even got pissed at losing 50/50s to Himeko, but now look what's happened with PF. Everybody is now rushing to build them up. You just never know what's going to happen in this game.
that's a cope and you know it
His talent, One With the Sword: When Soulsteel Sync is active, Yanqing is less likely to be attacked by enemies. His CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG increases by 15%. After attacking an enemy, there is a 50% chance to do a follow-up attack dealing Ice DMG equal to 25% of his ATK. Enemy has a 65% chance to be Frozen, and will take Additional Ice DMG equal to 25% of his ATK.
I thought he did need to break their weakness bar first, how does he do it without doing so?
Don't forget that March can freeze without breaking too.
Really hoping one day the devs make somebody that can apply the SU dissociation debuff. Yanqing is the only character right now that can freeze enemies without needing to break their bars. Because of that gimmick and to balance his damage output, he doesn't dish out huge numbers for being a hunt character. Quite unfortunate, but I still have more fun playing him than Dan Heng IL.
Fraudxing, The Stellaron Hunter: Would You Lose? Yanking: Nah, I'd Win
You'll get your chance to prove all the naysayers, Yanqing. One day, Honkai is going to add enemies/conditions that punishes splash damage users and everybody is going to wish they had built Hunt characters.
I think it's because that Yanqing is more ult based, like he gets 81% crit rate after maxing his skill tree then skill then ult, and since you'll be building crit damage for him with artifacts stats already anyways, the benefits of buffing ult with Salsoto probably worth more than celestial, plus it's a bonus that it buffs his bonus follow up attack too.
Why not using celestial instead of salsoto. He will always get 16% increase crit dmg using celestial, while salsoto needs to wait his ultimate to boost crit and activate the bonus damage
you remind me of myself
