she was using her ice summons. Each Fira hit gets soaked by one of her summons. You have to wait it out.
Half way through the fight Fira stopped working.... I used it at least 4 times with it having no effect. I don’t know if it was a glitch or what but it was REALLY annoying....

Shiva's looking hella hot here! Normally shiva would refer to a male deity but I'd take this over tifa everytime hahahha
Thanks! Was searching for a sleep magic to pair with thestatus resist support materia. Guess, this is why they dont have sleep magic to pair with it.

Really loving Shiva's design in the remake. Ice cold hot.
Use a headband as your trinket because it makes you immune to sleep: it totally counters that attack that creeps under the floor then puts you to sleep, the one before she drops ice on your head: 'heavenly strike'. Let the creeping attack hit you, it does little damage but she'll carry on with the heavenly strike animation - since you won't be stuck asleep underneath the huge icicle, this gives you plenty of time to fill your atb guage or try to stagger her with attacks.
