Yeah. Best highschool simulator all the way! Seriously tho, this series is good. Graphics might be kinda outdated for 2 and below so you can start on 3 fes to 4 golden then 5 royal.
Might want to mention the persona series. Royal just came out and im definitely buying it.
You might like the "Tales Of" games, they're RPGs too and they kinda have an action-style battle system

No. Most ff games are stand alone games. There are skme exceptions like sequel games to their own predecessor. (FF X TO FFX-2, FF XIII TO FF XIII2 THEN FF XIII LIGHTNING RETURNS). The game however, has several references to the original so you might want to play that first before this game but its not a must.
Hello everyone! Just wanna ask if you have to play all the previous final fantasy games before playing this one?
The nostalgia already hit us, we saw our beloved characters in hd, we got a brand new game. Us oldtimers already got what we want.
Anyone: not happy the story changed. Literally anyone else: u sH0uLd b3 h4pPy g4mE iS 4maZing gRapHicS Go0D nOt TrUE fAn Ok FAG! Hope u guys realize were not happy about the story changes for the next batch of ff7 players and not ourselves cause if u ask any veterans here, we are all happy to experience a new storytelling. But the new players wont experience the thing we once loved and thats what makes us sad. Put that i ur head.
Still completing part 1 but really liking it. Hope Default 2 comes out soon after I manage to complete second.

If you mean Bravely Second, the sequel to the original, that came out a couple of years ago, but then again I heard taht they're working on a new Bravely Default game for the Switch

You've probably played it before, but just in case, you should check out Crisis Core on the PSP. It's a prequel to the original FF7 where you play as Zack
try playing Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Not exactly an RPG, but you might like the action gameplay of it
if you're willing to give turn-based stuff a try, you could try playing the Bravely series. they're kinda like spin-offs of Final Fantasy games and the story's real good
Well there's always the Kingdom Hearts series. It's directed by the same person (Tetsuya Nomura), but it has a crazy story so ymmv
Just finished the FF7 Remake, are there any more games that are similar to this one? I'm itching to play more of the action--style RPGs

I agree.. also If you're goin to cast a spell and the startup animation takes a while, your opponent could fire off a quicker attack. So make sure to mind the timing!
