The Spikethrower is a powerful weapon that delivers massive amounts of damage, especially when using Explosive ammo. They are best used against larger targets due to their high ammo cost. To penetrate armor, they must be thrown at full draw.
This legendary weapon deals significantly more damage than most other Spike Throwers in the game, and has several perks which grant many benefits in combat.
This weapon inflicts Fire damage on enemies, which causes the Burning state. The Burning State inflicts additional damage to enemies over time. Fire elemental damage is also more effective against some enemies.
This weapon uses Explosive Spikes and Advanced Explosive Spikes, which explode a few seconds after impact and deal tons of damage. However, since it inflicts explosive damage, it also destroys machine components and makes them unlootable in higher difficulties.
