How Should I Spend My AP - Gundam UC Engage

Whether you have an overabundance of AP or not enough at all, there's always that lingering question of how you should spend it. Should you use them on Fragment Quests? Story grind? Use them all on events? Read on to learn our recommendations on how you should be spending your AP.

Play Story Events

0088 Peche Event - Gundam UC Engage

Event Story missions should take up ALL your AP whenever they're available. In these events, you could earn blueprints and pieces for the featured UR rarity welfare mobile suits and pilots, and even if the units aren't particularly good, you'll still want them since they'll later be available to grind for in Fragment Quests. The more fragments and pieces you earn, the less time you'll need to grind for them in Fragment Quests, and the sooner you start generating Rainbow Haro coins from any blueprints/fragments you get past Potential Lv. 5.

As we've said in a lot of our articles, Rainbow Haro coins are an extremely valuable and hard-to-accumulate resource that you'll need for Transcending units, and being able to steadily generate this sooner will be very beneficial for everybody, old and new players alike. If the welfare unit is good, then consider that a bonus. If it's not, still try to get as many copies anyway.

Grind Fragment Quests

Blueprint Series - Gundam UC Engage

As soon as you unlock Fragment Quests, you'll want most of your AP going to this game mode, except when there's an Event Story to grind for or if you absolutely need something that you can only get from different game modes. This is where you'll be getting your Rainbow Haro coins, which you'll need to Transcend your units and unlock their hidden skills.

Ideally, you should be farming all the missions that reward you with UR rarity units since excess fragments of SR and R rarity units will reward you only with Gold and Silver Haro coins, which aren't nearly as valuable. You'll want to do each of them 3 times each mission to maximize your fragment and Rainbow Haro Coin generation.

Potential Unleashed - Gundam UCE

As of writing, it takes more than 500 AP to do all the UR fragment missions once, and that number will only rise when more UR units are released in this game mode. You'll probably have to buy AP from both the Coin Shop and with a couple of hundred Diamonds to be able to do all of them 3 times. It will undoubtedly take ages before you start accumulating a good number on a daily basis, but it'll all pay off in the end since Transcendence is arguably the upgrade system that matters the most in this game.

Finish Story Missions

Story Quest - Gundam UC Engage

When you've already done your Fragment Quests and you somehow still have some AP left or it's already been replenished, look to spend them by progressing through the game's Story Mode. The goal here is to both accumulate upgrade materials and earn Diamonds by fulfilling all of the conditions to get 3 stars.

Ideally, you'll want to get 3 stars each time to be able to make the most out of your AP, so when things get too hard and you can't 3-star your missions anymore, look to either upgrade your units or grind out one of the other story missions instead.

Participate in the Combat Power Augmentation Operations Event

CPAO Info - Gundam UCE

When you need UR Custom Tickets, Unit Enhancement Pts., EXP materials, or Coins, grinding out the Combat Power Augmentation Operations (CPAO) event is one of the best ways to get them. While these cost a hefty 200 AP to play, it's very much worth its AP price since you'll get the exact materials you need while also getting a good boost to both your Player EXP and Unit EXP.

These quests are useful for both beginners and advanced players alike. Beginners can kill two birds with one stone by leveling their units, getting UR Custom Tickets or Unit Enhancement Pts., and being able to spend the ridiculous amounts of AP they're rewarded with for almost everything they do. Meanwhile, advanced players can get even bigger amounts of whatever it is they need.

AP Spending Tips and Tricks

Use All Your AP Everyday

Screenshot AP Gundam UC ENGAGE

Using up all your AP every day is something that all players should be doing. Each time you use AP, you're granted rewards from whatever quest you do. These can be Diamonds, Blueprints, Pieces, upgrade materials, player EXP, or other things. Recharging AP is very easy and cheap, so there's no point in saving unless it's for something big that requires a whole lot of AP, like Story Events. The more AP you use on a daily basis, the faster your account will grow.

Use Tickets To Save Time

Ticket Skip - Gundam UC Engage

When you've got a thousand or more AP at a time, using them all up can appear to be a tedious task. However, a lot of beginners only think so because they don't use Skip Tickets. These Skip Tickets, as its name suggests, allow you to skip a quest and instantly reap its reward without actually having to sit through the battle. You can only skip battles you've already accomplished with a 3-star rating, so there will still be a lot of grinding involved.

For beginners, one of the best ways to use up all your AP is to do Fragment Quests, particularly the ones that award blueprints or pieces for UR-rarity units. On top of being able to acquire new units and increase their potential, these will eventually yield Rainbow Haro coins instead of fragments once you've grinded out a unit's Potential Lv. all the way to level 5. Rainbow Haro Coins are an extremely valuable resource primarily used for Transcending units. If you don't know where to spend your AP, Fragment Quests is the way to go, unless there's a Story Event going on of course.

Increase Your Player Rank To Increase Your Max AP

Screenshot AP Gundam UC ENGAGE

Your max AP cap is determined by your Player Rank. Each time you level up, your maximum AP cap also increases by 1. However, once you reach the highest Player Rank, your max AP will increase by 21 instead of just 1. That said, if you want to make the most out of the game, try your best to grind all the way to the maximum Player Rank to be able to store as much AP as you can, among many other benefits.

Recharge AP From The Coin Shop or With Diamonds

If you've already burned through your AP but still have other things to do for the day, you can buy up to 500 more from the Coin Shop and a couple more hundred for just a small amount of Diamonds. Buying all 500 AP from the Coin Shop and spending it is something that all players should be doing daily, unless you're saving AP for something big like an upcoming Story Event.
