Playstyle and Win Condition

Monarchs are an aggressively powerful Archetype due to their ability to destroy opponent's assets simply by being summoned onto the Field. Monarch Monsters have strong enough ATK such as Ehther the Heavenly Monarch and Erebus the Underworld Monarch to take out any low-level Monsters that your opponent may bring out early game.

But, with cards like Majesty's Fiend, Vanity's Fiend and Domain of the True Monarchs, this creats another dynamic to Monarch Decks by effectively locking both players from various functions of the game.

Majesty's Fiend locks both players from activating any and all Monster Effects, while Vanity's Fiend locks both players out of being able to Special Summon.

Domain of the True Monarchs hinges on the fact that you don't use an Extra Deck, effectively locking your opponent out from using their Extra Deck. This makes Monarch Decks a viable First Turn Deck.

Being to able set at least Majesty's Fiend and Domain of the True Monarchs on the field on Turn 1 will render your opponent from performing any if not all of their possible plays.
