To clear Spring Cleaning, we recommend bringing the above items. 3-Plate Armor Vests, Armor Plates, Self-Revive Kits, and Gas Masks are the essential gear needed for defense when clearing an Infested Stronghold in the High Threat Zone.
Meanwhile, it's recommended to bring Decoy Grenades and Cymbal Monkey bombs to prevent you from getting swarmed in the High Threat Zone Infested Stronghold, since the space is small and you want to focus more on destroying cysts rather than killing endless waves of zombies.
Red Zone Loot and Tips to Survive
You will need at least a Level II Pack-a-Punched Weapon of Legendary Rarity (both will provide a 4x multiplier to the gun's base damage, which stacks to a damage multiplier of 16). Preferably, the gun you bring will also be an LMG or an Assault Rifle.
The easiest way of getting the above is quickly heading into the Red Zone to look for a Wallbuy, once you have 5,000 Essence. Wallbuy Weapons in the Red Zone are either Epic (~4,000 Essence) or Legendary Weapons (~5,000 Essence). Find a Legendary LMG or Assault Rifle at a Wallbuy, purchase it, then quickly head out of the Red Zone.
Afterward, head back into the Low Threat Zone and farm Contracts until you get 15,000 Essence. This is so that you have enough Essence to Pack-a-Punch your weapon to Level II. It's recommended to farm contracts such as Eliminate the Bounty, Aether Extractors, or Spore Control, since they should be quick to do with your base Legendary Weapon.
It's highly recommended to bring a squad for the Spring Cleaning Zombie mission, since High Threat Zombies are difficult to kill and fast. You'll want as much backup you can get.
It's even worth trying to merge into a 6-man squad with other players you see in the Red Zone.
Zombies Squad Size and Squads Explained
The Infested Stronghold in the High Threat Zone is no different from the ones in lower threat zones. You'll have to destroy cysts until the Infested Stronghold is cleared—the zombies are just faster and more difficult to kill. There are about 15 cysts inside the small space of the stronghold. Best to focus on destroying these while the zombies are distracted with Decoy 'nades and monkey bombs.
