List of Contents
Circle Collapse is a game mechanic in Warzone 2.0 where the circle, also known as the safe zone, starts to shrink and collapse to limit the playing area. All areas outside the circle will become polluted with hazardous smoke that damages players over time.
After the safe zone shrinks a number of times, the Gulag will close and you'll be locked out of re-entering the match if you die.
Starting circle is the big circle around the map right after the match starts, and players start to drop on the map. The deadly gas will start to pollute the surrounding area outside the circle after three minutes into the match, causing it to split afterward.
After the big circle starts to collapse, it will cause the map to have three smaller circles on the map, which indicates the Split Circles. Those three circles will shrink over time, continuing to limit the playing area and endorse close-range gunfights.
However, it is still possible to shoot enemies from the other Split Circle if you have a sniper rifle and you've calculated the bullet drop.
The Merge will happen once the Split Circles have shrunk two to three times. Its location will be in the middle part of the three small circles. Prepare your gun and plan your route to avoid getting eliminated on the way to The Merge!
Equipping a Gas Mask will allow you to stay outside of the circle without getting damaged. However, it has a durability percentage that will deplete after a short time outside the circle. You can get Gas Masks on the Buy Stations or looting it from enemy players.
If you don't have a Gas Mask on you, you can rely on Stims to recover your health while outside the safe zone. You can find Stims in medical kits that are usually found in house bathrooms.
