Part 7 - Early Turtle Rock Speedrun (Any%)

Getting to Turtle Rock

Learning the Frog's Song of Soul

Upon exiting Face Shrine, play Manbo's Mambo and warp to Ukuku Prairie.

After arriving, head west, then south past the phone booth until you see an area full of holes. Hookshot the stump on the other side to cross.

You will enter an area called Signpost Maze.

Here, you must read the signs in the correct order and follow the direction it tells you to go before reading the next sign. Refer to the images below for the correct order of steps.

Go down the staircase and speak with Mamu. Pay 300 rupees to learn the Frog's Song of Soul.

Play Manbo's Mambo and warp to Ukuku Prairie again.

Entering Turtle Rock

Head west to Mabe Village and go to the Flying Rooster statue. Push the statue and go down the stairs.

Head forward and play the Frog's Song of Soul in front of the skull to resurrect the Flying Rooster.

Go back up, head west and enter the Mysterious Forest, travel to its northern end until you reach Tal Tal Mountain Range.

Climb the first ladder and from the top, perform the Flame Skip.

After doing the skip, head west and play the Frog's Song of Soul in front of the stone head to battle Turtle Rock.

Immediately shoot its head thrice with bomb arrows to destroy its protective rock. You can execute a spin attack mid-air to hit its head. Charge a spin attack when it starts charging so when it strikes and stuns itself, unleash the spin attack, make sure that it will hit twice, then slash it as much as you can. Repeat these steps until it is defeated. Enter the dungeon afterwards.

Completing Turtle Rock with Hinox Skip

Proceed to the next room and wait until the vire charge at you then use magic powder on it. Equip your bow and bombs for later then go to the room on the left.

Defeat the ropes in this room and before you enter the room on the north, make sure that you are hugging the right side of the entrance as you enter it. This is the first step of the Hinox Skip.

Execute this glitch correctly to skip directly to the Nightmare Lair.

After landing in the Nightmare Lair, head north and get the Thunder Drum to complete the dungeon.
