| Criteria | Explanation |

| Ease of Use | Operators that have a simple kit, but can maintain its effectivity is ideal. |
| Adaptability | Ideally, an Operator should remain relevant to a wide variety of situations. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
Hibana
|
Hibana excels as a hard breacher. With her X-Kairos Launcher, she is capable of breaching multiple points in fortified and soft walls at the same time. |
Thermite
|
Thermite is also a top-tier hard breacher. With his Exothermic Charges, he can instantly create entry points for the team with a single charge. |
Thatcher
|
Thatcher is the best support for any hard breacher. His EMP Grenades can guarantee breaches by disabling enemy gadgets that can hinder your team. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
Dokkaebi
|
Dokkaebi excels at gathering info with her abilities, especially when sticking with allies. Though it requires a kill to set up, it can be rewarding to execute properly. |
Capitao
|
Capitao excels at area denial, being able to cover enemy vision and force enemies out of areas with his Tactical Crossbow. |
Twitch
|
Twitch's Shock Drone is very easy to use, and requires little effort to effectively disable enemy gadgets. However, using the drones can leave her vulnerable, so be careful! |
Ash
|
Ash is capable of creating multiple points of entry with her Breaching Rounds and speed. With her speed, she can easily rush in and secure areas. |
Lion
|
Lion's EE-ONE-D is incredibly useful when pushing since it can hinder enemy movement. He can reveal moving enemies, and your team can move in on stagnant enemies. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
Deimos
|
Deimos' effectivity relies heavily on a player's skill in duels. Though you can track the location of one defender, it is best to move with at least one more ally to guarantee the kill. |
Ying
|
Ying's Candela Flash Charge is effective in hindering enemy vision if you land it. However, it can be tricky to effectively land, and requires coordination from your team to maximize. |
Buck
|
Buck is able to break soft surfaces and move into areas without needing to switch back to your primary weapon. Though he is a decent Operator, he does not excel anywhere. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
ATK Recruit
|
The ATK Recruit is a great beginner Operator, offering an extra gadget to further support your team. |
Sledge
|
Sledge, like other breachers, can break through soft surfaces with his Breaching Hammer. However, it can be relatively slower and requires you to stay within melee range of the surface. |
Glaz
|
Glaz's Thermal Flip Scope can see enemies hidden in smoke, or when you are hidden in smoke. However, this requires a niche setup and does not provide much value outside those circumstances. |

| Adaptability | Ideally, an Operator should remain relevant to a wide variety of situations. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
Bandit
|
Bandit is currently the most effective Defender, due to being able to secure objectives with his Shock Wire. It can render even the strongest Breacher abilities useless and unable to penetrate affected walls. |
Mira
|
Mira and her Black Mirror can be incredibly valuable in both soft and reinforced surfaces. You can often catch enemies off guard by seeing them through the mirror, forcing them to change their approach. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
Mute
|
Mute is incredibly effective in denying enemy info by jamming drones. His Jammer also applies to remotely detonated gadgets, hindering the enemy entry and utility. |
Smoke
|
Smoke's Remote Gas Grenade can last a long time. With proper placement, you can effectively keep enemies from pushing and prolong the round. |
Maestro
|
Maximize Maestro's Evil Eye by placing it in areas with a lot of enemy movement. Its laser remains effective even if it is out in the open due to its durability. |
Jager
|
Jager only needs to plan out where to plant his Magpie Defense Systems. Once they are planted, you can focus on holding angles or play aggressively. |
Caveira
|
Caveira excels at locating all enemies with her Interrogation. As long as you can get takedowns, she will remain relevant throughout rounds. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
Kapkan
|
With smart placement, Kapkan's Entry Denial Device can hinder enemy movement, and even score kills since you have 5 charges. |
Frost
|
Frost's Welcome Mats also require smart placement, but are capable of shutting down enemy Operators for the rest of the round if their team is unable to help. |
Valkyrie
|
Valyrie's Black Eye Camera can provide additional intel for the whole team, but will require decent setup. Rounds may not last long enough for cameras to be maximized. |
Castle
|
Castle can effectively slow down enemy pushes on objectives with his Armor Panel. This is especially useful if the enemy team does not have strong breachers. |
| Operator | Explanation |
|---|---|
DEF Recruit
|
Great beginner Operator to learn the basics of Defending. The DEF Recruit can have a versatile role since they have no specific strengths. |
Rook
|
Rook's additional HP through Armor Packs can be useful, but the Operator himself is a bit slow, and cannot move around as much to help the team. |
