How to Beat Commander Jupiter and Commander Mars

Quickly KO Jupiter's Bronzor

Jupiter's Bronzor will be the Bronzor on the left. Quickly knock it out with a special Fire-type move before it sets up Light Screen. Mars' Bronzor will successfully set up a Reflect, which we can ignore for now. Proceed to knock it out on the next turn.

Have Reliable Special Attackers on Your Team

Because Reflect will have been set up, our physical attacks will do less damage. Our Fire-type Pokemon will need to have a reliable special attacks for the rest of the battle. It will make quick work of both Jupiter and Mars' Bronzors.

Alternatively, if you knock out Mars' Bronzor and Jupiter's Bronzor sets up Light Screen, physical attacks will be more effective.

Overpower Their Final Pokemon with Higher Leveled Pokemon

Late into the match, Purugly should be susceptible to Staraptor's Close Combat. Even if Reflect is still in play, Purugly cannot favorably trade damage with Staraptor. Luxray should be able to deal good damage to Skuntank, enough to knock it out.

Best Team to Beat Commander Jupiter and Commander Mars

When Starting with Turtwig

Best Team to Beat Cyrus Starting With Turtwig
Pokemon BDSP RapidashRapidash Pokemon BDSP LuxrayLuxray Pokemon BDSP TorterraTorterra

Rapidash should be able to easily take out one of the Bronzors with a super-effective Fire-type move, while Luxray should be able take out the Golbats. Luxray can also take out Purugly. Torterra can attack into Skuntank with a super-effective Ground-type move.

We have to be wary of Skuntank's Flamethrower and Purugly's Aerial Ace. If our team is sufficiently leveled, we might not have to worry too much about their super-effective moves.

When Starting with Chimchar

Best Team to Beat Cyrus Starting With Chimchar
Pokemon BDSP InfernapeInfernape Pokemon BDSP StaraptorStaraptor Pokemon BDSP LuxrayLuxray

Infernape is great in this battle because of the damage output it can dish out. It can easily take out the Bronzors, and Luxray can handle the Golbats. Infernape can then come back to KO Purugly. Skuntank will not have enough damage output to trade with our Infernape.

When Starting with Piplup

Best Team to Beat Cyrus Starting With Piplup
Pokemon BDSP RapidashRapidash Pokemon BDSP EmpoleonEmpoleon Pokemon BDSP LuxrayLuxray

Rapidash should be able to easily take out one of the Bronzors with a super-effective Fire-type move, while Luxray should be able take out the Golbats. Luxray can also take out Purugly. Empoleon can then effectively fight against the Commanders' final Pokemon, only having to worry about Purugly's Dig. But with multiple Pokemon that are sufficiently leveled, this should not be a huge threat.
