Description
A very rare resource gathered from the hottest flames of the Scorching Seas of Muspelheim. Used to craft and upgrade armor, Pommels, and Talismans with the powers of primordial flame.

Used in Crafting

The Greater Crest of Flame is one of several rare resources used in crafting or upgrading Kratos' and Atreus' weapons and equipment that can only be found in Muspelheim. Unlike the much more common Smoldering Ember, the Greater Crest of Flame is significantly rarer and much more difficult to come by, requiring the successful completion of any of the Impossible Trials.

How to Obtain Greater Crest of Flame

Only Found as Reward for Finishing Impossible Trials

Unlike other precious resources found in Muspelheim such as the Smoldering Ember, Greater Crests of Flame can only be obtained by finishing any of the Impossible Trials in-game. None are given to the player through any of the normal chests found througout the realm, nor are any rewarded through completion of the Trials when they are in their normal forms.

How to Farm Greater Crest of Flame

Finish Impossible Trials

There is no easy or alternative method to get any Greater Crests of Flame other than by completing the Impossible Trials in the Muspelheim realm. Once completed, a Legendary chest will appear in the arena – take note however, that the chances of a Greater Crest of Flame appearing inside the chest is randomized, and so not every Legendary chest a player opens will contain the rare resource.
