This is a guide on how to play 2 players in eFootball. Read on to learn how local and online multiplayer works, how to set it up, and the maximum number of players that can join.

How to Play 2 Players

Local Multiplayer

Steps Walkthrough
1 Match ButtonFrom the Main Menu, select Match.
2 Exhibition ButtonNavigate through the modes and select Exhibition.
3 Set 2 Players Here, you can assign Controller 2 to either team’s side. If you can't see Controller 2, make sure it's properly connected.
4 Press Next to configure other game settings. Once done, enjoy the match with your friend!

Online Multiplayer

Steps Walkthrough
1 Match Button From the Main Menu, select Match.
2 Friend Match ButtonNavigate through the modes and select Friend Match.
3 Friend Match Menu Here in the Friend Match menu, select Create 1 vs 1 Match Room. The next page will let you configure Password and Team Type. Select Done when finished.
4 eFootball - Friend Match Invite Player.png Here you can invite your online friend for a match. You can also configure Match Room Settings and Game Plan. Once done, go ahead and select To Match

How Many Players Can Join?

In eFootball, up to 4 local players can join a match on Playstation, while Xbox and PC supports up to 8 local players. Online modes support even more depending on the game type. However, mobile devices only allow 1 player per device.

Game Modes With Multiplayer

Mode Type Description
Events Online Play rotating challenge events with an option for PvP or AI. These are limited-time and occasionally include co-op features.
Friend Match Online Play 1v1 matches with friends via match rooms. Includes 3 vs 3 co-op mode.
Quick Match Online Play casual matchmaking against random online opponents.
eFootball League Online Play ranked matches with match based on skill level.
Exhibition Local Play casual local/offline matches.
