Skill Up is a great way to learn the basics of the game while earning a solid amount of currency in eFootball Coins (gold) and GP (purple) that you can spend right away. You also receive a substantial amount of Training Program XP to use for improving your players.
Note: Rewards can be claimed in your Inbox on the top right of the main menu.

You will be given an option to pick two different control modes when you begin Skill Up. We recommend using Virtual Pad for beginners, as its controller-like inputs can feel more familiar and are easier to learn.

After learning the complete basics in Skill Up, you can navigate to the training menu in the Extras section to practice your fundamental skills.

With your newly signed players, head to the Game Plan menu to set up your team. Here, you can set your manager, starting lineup, and bench, choose your formation, and set your team playstyle.

You can use the Auto-Pick function to automatically place the best players in their optimal positions based on stats. Once your best players are in the starting lineup, you can adjust their positions as you see fit.

For beginners, we recommend the Quick Counter team playstyle. It's an aggressive counter-attacking approach that focuses on winning the ball with constant pressure, making it easy to transition quickly into an attack.

Training your players is crucial in eFootball, as newly signed players don’t start at full strength. In the My Team menu, go to Players, then use Training Program XP to boost their stats and maximize their performance on the field.
Additionally, you can strengthen your players by adding new Skills or improving their Position Proficiency. Don’t forget to train these too when you have the necessary items.

Events are available for a limited time and feature exclusive challenges with rewards you can only earn during that window. By participating, you can earn a variety of special item rewards.
Note: Events are updated every Monday and Thursday.
You can choose between AI and PvP events. AI events let you choose the difficulty level, allowing you to face AI teams at your own pace. This is great for learning the game and getting comfortable with the controls.

Once you're comfortable with AI battles and can control your players, passes, and shots better, it's time to try online PvP matches in the eFootball League. You’ll earn rewards just by participating in online matches, so don’t worry too much about winning or losing at first. Focus on playing more matches and steadily collecting rewards.
Resetting your account to get better starting players isn’t worth it in eFootball, as the time spent doing a reset marathon could cause you to miss out on Coins you’d earn by continuing to play. You don’t receive many free Coins at the start, and you’ll gain much more by progressing normally.
If you're committed to doing a reset marathon, make sure to aim for an SS-class player for it to be worthwhile.

All first-time users will receive a powerful version of Lionel Messi along with 9 other solid players to form your starting team, which is already a pretty strong lineup to kick things off.

You'll also receive three strong players through the daily welcome login bonus. Phil Foden, Virgil van Dijk, and Kylian Mbappé are excellent additions and great cards to have early on.
