How to beat Rocktoise

Movesets

The Rocktoise is a perfect challenge for beginners. When the player attacks it, each attack causes a Sap-like effect of shaving points off the character's HP.

Using ranged attacks on it will cause it to cycle Lv.1 Magick attacks on the player. Even a Nihopalaoa / Negative status attack tactic is not recommended, as this beast can cure itself of any negative status effects.

Gambit

Strategy

It's useful to have a character constantly healing your party-members while attacking. Ranged attacks are more effective to use against the Rocktoise, since his Lv.1 Magick attacks are weak. It's also a good thing to use SIlence Shots while attacking with a Machinist or attack with an Archer while having your Mage cast Silence.

A few more targeted multi-Aero attacks will make it fall fast. Owing to the slow movement of the Rocktoise, it may not catch up with your party at all.
