Players Can Try It Now and Transfer it to The Main Game
In a recent Capcom Highlight Video Presentation, viewers were treated to fresh insights into Dragon’s Dogma 2, unveiling the "Character Creator ＆ Storage" tool. This tool offers extensive customization options for players' Arisen and Main Pawn. Excitingly, fans can explore this feature starting today, with the option to transfer their created characters to the main game upon its release on March 22, 2024.
In the showcased video, players are presented with the option to craft either an Arisen, the primary protagonist under player control, or a Main Pawn, a key ally hailing from the rift. The footage reveals an array of character templates, offering diverse choices.
Opting for the female gender, the selection process continues with the opportunity to designate the character's "vocation," with options spanning: fighter, archer, mage, or thief. Furthermore, a glimpse of additional customization possibilities is provided, showcasing the ability to alter race, physique, facial features, voice, and inclinations.
The showcased video continues by providing a closer look at the intricate customization options available. The female character undergoes a transformation, adopting a feline-like face alongside various hairstyle selections. Moreover, adjustments to height, weight, and skin tone are demonstrated.
While the precise function of the Storage component remains unclear, the launch of the Character Creator today is a blessing for players who spend way too many hours customizing their character. The Character Creator and Storage Tool can be downloaded for free now on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Player Choices Impact The World of Over 1000 Characters
During the stream, Director Hideaki Itsuno and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi shared insights into the customization process. They highlighted the ability for players to enlist up to three AI companions, called pawns, urging them to explore various customization options.
Furthermore, the developers have emphasized that the manner in which players solve quests and interact with NPCs will significantly influence the Arisen's relationships with other characters.
At times, characters will confront players, and the choices made will reverberate throughout the intricate network of relationships woven throughout the world. With over 1000 characters, each with their own stories and motivations, players can expect a richly layered experience filled with meaningful interactions.
Lastly, Capcom will introduce official support pawns crafted by content creators, with details on these creators set to be unveiled soon.
