Yamada Heiando, a popular Japanese lacquerware brand, collaborated with The Pokémon Company to create bowls based on the Chinese Zodiac animals using traditional techniques. The Pokémon included are Pikachu (rat), Ekans (snake), and Dragonite (dragon).
The lacquerware company described these Pokémon as "gentle guardians watching over you and your children as you spend dinner with them." Yamada Heiando prioritizes babies and children when making these products, stating, "We hope this product will become a vessel that allows you to watch and rejoice together in your child’s happy daily growth."
The company also provided brief descriptions for each bowl associated with a child's development. For instance, Pikachu represents kindness, Ekans symbolizes growth, and Dragonite signifies openness.
These exquisite bowls sold out within hours of their release on January 17, 2025. Another sale will start on January 31 for those who wish to purchase them. Keep in mind that each individual is limited to buying two items.
A single set costs 16,500 JPY, approximately $105 USD. The company is also offering international shipping, and is subject to additional charges depending on the packaging size, peak season surcharge, and aviation fuel prices.

Pokemon Center’s Exclusive Eevee Evolutions Figures
The Pokémon Company also released a Pokémon Center-exclusive figure featuring Eevee’s evolutions on January 16, 2025. Pokemon Center, the official online store, offers the biggest selection of various Pokemon-themed products.
The first three Pokémon in the "Evolving Personalities Figure" line are Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon, with the remaining "Eeveelutions" being released in groups of three throughout the year. Each Pokémon has a unique personality: Jolteon is skillful, Flareon is satisfied, and Vaporeon is playful. Other Eeveelutions will also be assigned distinct personality traits.
These exclusive figures can be purchased on the Pokémon Center website for $29.99 USD. Watch out for updates as the website also teased that a limited edition will be available in the future.
