Final Fantasy 16 Gameplay

Final Fantasy 16 is the series’ first full-fledged action-RPG, fully doing away with the classic turn-based battle system it has long been known for and takes FF15’s action-combat to a whole-new level of complexity and depth. With Devil May Cry(DMC) combat director Ryota Suzuki on board, FF16 is the most modern evolution of stylish combo-driven combat that made the DMC series so popular.

As Clive, switch between various styles and weapons on the fly during combat and perform all sorts of attacks with the power of the elemental Eikons. He will be joined by extra party members throughout his journey, but players will solely control Clive throughout the entire game.

Final Fantasy 16 Story

Final Fantasy 16 follows the story of Clive Rosfield as he goes on an epic adventure set in a dark fantasy world–a first for the series. The game takes on a mature themes and a deeply-emotional story featuring Clive, the eldest son of the archduke Rosaria. He, being dubbed as the "Shield of Rosaria," is sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Eikon Phoenix. In his quest to protect his kingdom and his brother, he is met with tragedy after tragedy and takes up a mission sparked by vengeance against the Dark Eikon Ifrit.
