More Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii Footage
In celebration of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii releasing in February, Like a Dragon Direct is coming your way this January 9th, 2025 to reveal more details about the upcoming pirate adventure title!
While there were no specifics on what will be shown during the live show, RGG Studio shared that they will unveil "a barrage of gameplay reveals" and a deeper dive into the newest Like a Dragon entry. Fans can head on over to SEGA’s official YouTube and Twitch channels on Thursday to join in the event.
Based on the official X account, the event will mainly showcase footage and reveal more details about Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. However, fans are also hoping that there will be news for RGG Studio’s other games announced during the event, especially one of their newest IPs, Project Century. Project Century in particular gives off a Yakuza/Like a Dragon aura, and eagle-eyed fans are speculating that it may have a connection of some sort to the main franchise. Other fans are hoping for a hint on the rumored Yakuza 3 Kiwami remake.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii takes place after the events of the previous installment, Infinite Wealth, and welcomes major recurring character Goro Majima as its protagonist. Saved by a young boy named Noah after being shipwrecked with amnesia, Majima embarks on an exciting seafaring journey to reclaim his lost memories—and perhaps some treasure along the way too. From ex-yakuza to pirate captain, join Majima on his over-the-top pirate adventure full of action and fun.
The game is slated for release on February 21, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
