Pokemon GO Announced Community Day Classic For January
Catch and Evolve Ralts, the “Feeling Pokemon”
Pokemon Go announced on January 7, 2025, that the Community Day Classic for January will be Ralts. On January 25, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), players will have an increased chance to encounter Ralts and its shiny variant.
For $2 USD, players can purchase access to Ralts’ Community Day-exclusive special research. Rewards for completing the research include a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three encounters with Ralts featuring Dual Destiny-themed Special Backgrounds.
Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event or up to five hours afterward allows players to obtain a Gardevoir or Gallade with the Charged Attack "Synchronoise," which has 80 power in Trainer, Gym, and Raid battles.
Players can also complete Timed Research to earn 4 Sinnoh Stones and an encounter with a Ralts featuring a Dual Destiny-themed Special Background. Unlike the Community Day Classic, this research will remain available for a week after the event.
Aside from that, there are also Event Bonuses during the event. These are:
⚫︎ ¼ Hatch Distance for Eggs
⚫︎ Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours
⚫︎ A surprise might happen when taking a few snapshots!
An Ultra Community Day Box will be available for $4.99 USD, including 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and one Special Research ticket. This exclusive deal will be available at the Pokemon GO Web Store on January 21, 2025, at 10:00 am (local time).
Players can also spend their PokeCoins for the two Community Day bundles available during the event at the in-game shop. Here is the rundown of these bundles:

Pokemon GO’s Worldwide Monthly Event
Each month, Niantic hosts a Community Day Classic event featuring a specific Pokémon. For instance, November 2024’s Community Day features Mankey. During the event, players have an increased chance to encounter the featured Pokemon, including its shiny variant.
Evolving the featured Pokémon during the event grants it an exclusive move that can aid in battles. Players can also enjoy bonuses like reducing the distance to hatch eggs, increased XP gain, and others.
The December Community Day event is extra special, featuring multiple Pokemon with higher encounter rates and a chance of being Shiny. Unlike others, the December event will last for two days, with each day featuring a different set of Pokemon. Aside from that, similar perks and bonuses from previous months will apply to this special event.
