FF15 Gameplay
Final Fantasy 15 is an open-world action adventure RPG where players play as a party of four as they go on a road trip. Traversal will mainly be by car, where gamers are able to either point to a location on the map and let another party member drive, or manually man the driver’s seat as Noctis to drive. Once out in the wilderness, Noctis and his friends can rent Chocobos and ride them in rough terrain or through water.
While out in the fields, monsters may spawn or enemies could drop in from above, starting battles. While controlling Noctis, players have the power to warp-strike, where he throws his weapon at the enemy or at any location to instantly teleport to the thrown weapon. He’s able to freely switch between four equipped weapons at a time, from basic swords, greatswords, lances, knives, and firearms. Noctis also has an Armiger meter where, when full, grants him a limited but powerful state wherein he has total control of powerful weapons and attacks.
Playing as Gladiolus, he can block enemy attacks or precisely parry them in order to build-up a rage meter which allows him to perform a variety of powerful moves. Ignis can cycle through three elements, Fire, Ice, and Electricity, to infuse his powerful daggers that drastically changes his playstyle. Prompto wields a variety of firearms, from a pistol, to a machinegun, and to a rocket launcher which can deal significant amounts of damage.
FF15 Story
Final Fantasy 15 centers around Noctis Lucis Caelum, the prince of the Kingdom of Lucis. He is sent away from his home city of Insomnia to be betrothed to his childhood sweetheart, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret. The wedding was arranged in order to organize a peace treaty between the kingdom of Lucis and the Niflheim Empire, of which already has most of the world under their control. His father, King Regis, sends three of Noctis’ closest friends along with him on his journey, asking them to never leave him alone. Gladiolus, the Shield of the Future King; Ignis, the Hand of the Future King; and Prompto, the Prince’s best friend, all accompany Noctis on a road trip towards their supposed destination.
However, just as they were sent away from Insomnia, Niflheim broke the peace treaty and attacked the city. Their ultimate goal was revealed–to steal the last remaining Crystal of power in the world which resided in Insomnia. The four friends, after discovering the fall of Lucis, as well as the King’s death, vow to bring the Niflheim Empire down and retrieve the crystal in hopes of reinstating peace and upon their lives. Together, they stand by each other as walk tall and in their journey across the world of Eos in order to defeat the Niflheim Empire.
