Wuthering Waves Release Brings Free Giveaways at Launch
Starting Loot Guarantees A Convenient Start On Solaris-3
With Wuthering Waves' release quickly approaching, the team behind this monumental title has decided to finally confirm all the giveaways players will receive from their milestones. These were earned by the game's popularity, wholly driven by the players' hype and interactions in response to the developers' efforts. As such, as they later mention, these were also a show of appreciation from Kuro Game themselves.
Pre-Registration Milestones
For reaching the 30 million pre-registration milestone, players will obtain the following items at the start of their journey:
⚫︎ Shell Credit x50,000
⚫︎ Advanced Resonance Potion x10
⚫︎ Astrite x200
⚫︎ Sigil: En Route x1
⚫︎ Lustrous Tide x20
Shell Credits are the universal in-game currency players will use throughout their journey. It can be earned by completing quests, defeating enemies, or looting on the overworld. Most shops accept Shell Credits as payment for their products or services. It is also used to pay to upgrade your characters and weapons. Astrite, meanwhile, is the game's premium currency, which can be used to purchase Lustrous or Radiant Tides for gacha.
Advanced Resonance Potions, meanwhile, provide EXP for your Resonators. This is the second highest among the four tiers of Resonance Potions, and it can provide up to 8,000 EXP each.
Lastly, the Sigil is part of the game's profile customization collectibles that players can use to personalize their public name cards.
Follower Milestone
⚫︎ 5 Million Followers: Rangers' Series Weapon of Choice x1
The Rangers' Series Weapon of Choice allows players to choose between the Undying Flame, Amity Accord, Jinzhou Keeper, Commando of Conviction, or Dauntless Evernight. These are four-star/purple-rarity weapons designed to be equipped by a wide variety of characters, albeit without any effects specialized for particular Resonators. However, they will definitely serve you well before you move on to the much more powerful 5-star weapons later on.
Developer Giveaways
Kuro Games is giving away 10 Lustrous Tides and 10 Radiant Tides for use in the game's Permanent Convene and Event Convene banners, respectively, as a way to express their gratitude for the players' support during the period leading up to the game's launch. Players can claim these from their in-game mailbox after the Crownless fight at the start of the game.
5-Star Resonator Selector Giveaway
Due to Wuthering Waves' rough launch, the developers have decided to give away a Voucher of Reciprocal Tides to every player in the game to as a way to show their appreciation for the players who continued to support them. These can be used in the Cleansing Reflections banner to give players a 5-star Resonator of their choice. This voucher will last for almost an entire year, and will expire on May 22, 2025.
What Players Can Do With Wuthering Waves' Giveaways
In total, the game will provide players with 30 free rolls on the Permanent Convene (standard) banner and 10 free rolls on the Event Convene banner through the giveaways alone, as well as a 5-star Resonator of their choice. That's more than enough for players planning to engage in a risemara (reset marathons or rerolling). That's because players only need to gather enough Astrite or Lustrous Tides for 10 more pulls, considering that the Novice Convene only needs 40 Lustrous Tides to hit its 50 hard pity for a 5-star Resonator.
The remaining 10 Lustrous Tides can be obtained from the many compensation rewards that the game also provides to everybody. In other words, every new player can start the game with at least two 5-star Resonators the moment they unlock Wuthering Waves' gacha system.
The 10 Radiant Tides can be used immediately on Jiyan's banner, which will be the first Event Convene for Wuthering Waves. Alternatively, players can save their Radiant Tides and Astrite for Yinlin's banner, which has been confirmed to come after Jiyan's.
