Pragmata Overview
Pragmata is an upcoming action-adventure game developed and published by Capcom. Originally announced in 2020, the game has experienced multiple delays, with its release now scheduled for 2026, as confirmed during Sony’s State of Play event in June 2025. Despite these setbacks, Pragmata has maintained a high level of anticipation among gamers, as it consistently ranks among the most wanted titles in the Weekly Famitsu reader polls.
In the near future, a catastrophic event renders Earth uninhabitable. Hugh, an astronaut, and an android girl named Diana, who appears to possess advanced technological abilities, now have to explore the dark stretch of the moon, defeat the AI of the lunar station, and return to Earth while learning more about their existence.

Pragmata Gameplay
Players control both Hugh and the android Diana simultaneously in a third-person action perspective. Hugh wields firearms and a jetpack suited for evasion, but his weapons cannot damage enemies unless Diana first disrupts their defenses via hacking. The player targets hostile AI robots and initiates a real-time hacking minigame to guide a cursor across a grid to reach a target tile, optionally activating bonus nodes that can enhance Hugh’s damage or extend vulnerability windows. This must all be done while actively dodging enemy attacks.
Hacking transforms otherwise invulnerable foes into targets vulnerable to Hugh’s weapons. These include an unlimited basic pistol and limited-ammo pickups such as shotguns, netguns, and shockwave or trap-like launchers.
Hugh’s jetpack boosters allow short bursts for dodging and reaching elevated areas, and Diana’s hacking also interacts with the environment by unlocking doors or access systems, again via minigames.
