Insomniac Games says Marvel's Wolverine pre-orders won't open until it shows players more of the game, with new details confirmed to arrive during Spring 2026.
Marvel's Wolverine Pre-Orders Not Yet Open
New Info Confirmed for Spring 2026

Marvel's Wolverine pre-orders won't open until Insomniac "Shows more of the game," as confirmed in an X reply on March 21. The studio also stated more information is still coming "During Spring 2026."
The game is currently only available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store, with no pre-order option in sight. This comes despite fans expecting a Wolverine appearance at February's State of Play on February 12 — the first major PlayStation showcase of 2026 — only for Insomniac to deny it via an X reply days before the event. The studio then surprised everyone by dropping the game's September 15 release date through a surprise social media post on February 24, with no showcase needed. With Insomniac having already shown it can bypass major events for announcements, fans have no way of knowing exactly when the promised spring reveal will arrive.
What the Trailer Revealed

While Insomniac has yet to reveal more new information, previous trailers have already given players a glimpse of what to expect from Marvel's Wolverine.
So far, other concrete details about the game have been scarce. The first gameplay trailer debuted at PlayStation's September 2025 State of Play, showcasing brutal claw combat across locations such as Madripoor, Canada, and Tokyo. Liam McIntyre was confirmed as Wolverine's voice, with Omega Red serving as a major villain and a Sentinel appearing in a standout confrontation.
Multiple suits were teased, including the classic yellow-and-black costume, alongside a brief appearance from Mystique. Insomniac confirmed the game follows an original story of Wolverine searching for answers about his past.
Daredevil Speculation

Aside from Wolverine's story and characters shown in trailers, fans have also been speculating about other Marvel characters that could appear in the game.
Moreover, it seems that another well-known character may also make his appearance in the game. In February 2026, Insomniac posted an image of Wolverine extending his claws with the caption, "Claws? What's that, some kind of fancy lawyer lingo?" — sparking widespread Daredevil speculation. Daredevil, also known as Matt Murdock, is a Marvel superhero who works as a lawyer by day and a vigilante by night. Many fans pointed to Insomniac's history of referencing the Nelson and Murdock Law Office, the law firm run by Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson, in Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as evidence that the character could appear alongside Logan.
Marvel's Wolverine launches exclusively on PS5 on September 15, 2026. For more information about the game, check out our article below.
