Ananta Gameplay
Exploration
Ananta offers unparalleled freedom, blending the traversal mechanics of Marvel's Spider-Man with the urban chaos of Grand Theft Auto. Players can grapple, swing, parkour, and wall-run along skyscrapers, ride vehicles, and even swim seamlessly. Notably, some of these mechanics don’t rely on a stamina bar, allowing players to traverse the urban landscapes continuously through the game’s signature unconventional methods.
The world features multiple sprawling cities with destructible environments, each containing unique districts like shopping areas, beaches, and amusement parks. Players begin their journey in Nova Inception Urbs, a city boasting over 10 distinct areas. As players progress, they can unlock additional cities inspired by real-world cultures, such as America and Europe.
Players control one character at a time, selectable through the in-game phone menu. Selecting another character will change the perspective to the one chosen, allowing for quick exploration around the city at a touch of a button. Sometimes, this appears to be useful in certain missions where one character is incapacitated and another character must swoop in to save the day.
Immersion
The cities of Ananta feel alive with thousands of NPCs following daily routines influenced by the time of day. Stray animals roam the streets, adding to the realism of the urban landscape. Developers have ensured that objects aren’t merely decorative but are fully interactive or destructible. Players can throw, shove, or vandalize them, creating layers of immersion and chaos. For instance, you can steal NPCs’ phones, throw objects at them, pull chairs out from under them, or even shoot at them—though the shots won’t cause damage.
Yes, players can even pet the animals they encounter in the city.

Beyond combat and exploration, players can engage in activities that mimic daily life, such as playing board games. There’s also an option to have video calls with other in-game characters, offering even more interaction opportunities. The characters' outfits will also be customizable to the player's liking, adding a dash of personalization and fun into its gameplay.
Other urban activities teased through the game’s updates and gameplay trailers include going to the gym, participating in races, playing minigames like darts and basketball, and even taking on roles such as law enforcement and hacking. They are also seen taking part in raves and music shows in between taking on missions, as well as a full-scale slapping competition.
Combat
Ananta mainly employs GTA-style one-on-one action combat, taking on enemies with either bare fists or armed with weapons like a hammer, or even a golf club. Even the environment can be used to the player’s advantage, enabling stealth-based gameplay and allowing surrounding objects to serve as weapons or tools in combat.
Certain characters and sections also let players switch to shooter gameplay to complement the action combat mechanics, making use of guns, flamethrowers, and machine guns, further expanding the ways to tackle challenges.

Ananta Story

Ananta's story revolves around the player as the Investigator. Their role is to research Chaos, a supernatural affliction all around them. All the while, they'll be able to travel around the world and meet different people to work with. And then there's also the plot with Dila, a girl with a mysterious past investigating similar anomalies within the city.
From the few tidbits of info Ananta has provided us, it seems like its story combines multiple main plots interwoven to progress simultaneously. Each character gets to act as the protagonist of their own story. Meanwhile, you, the player character, will play a significant role in their stories as they progress. Of course, there should be an overarching plot that cohesively covers all of their tales.
Based on the gameplay trailer released on September 23rd, players will take on the role of a new captain of a special task force named Chenxiu (presumably the main player character) as they engage with different kinds of missions for varying organizations around the city such as the NCAA, DK9, Cat Express, and more.
