⚫︎ Ananta released a new trailer during Tokyo Games Show. The trailer showcases the environment, as well as the combat system used by the game. The trailer also showcased driving and vehicular combat within the game.
⚫︎ According to online video game publication Famitsu, ANANTA won't have any gacha-style mechanics for its characters. Posted on the publication's official X page, the announcement further stresses that the game's monetization elements would be limited to its customization, like clothing and vehicles.

⚫︎ Naked Rain has announced that Ananta—previously known by its codename Project Mugen—will hold its first offline Technical Test in Hangzhou, China, starting January 3, 2025. Alongside this, the studio has launched Vanguard Recruitment, a new initiative designed to increase players’ chances of participating in future tests. Ananta Overview
Ananta (formerly Project Mugen) is an open-world RPG game developed by Naked Rain under Thunder Fire Studio, a subsidiary of NetEase Games. It currently has no release date, but it is confirmed to be releasing on PlayStation 5, PC, Google Play, and the App Store.
Set in the bustling Nova City, players will assume the role of a newly appointed captain of a task force known as the ACD, who is immediately thrown into the metropolis’ chaotic and frenetic side: dangerous gangs are hot on their tracks, their employer immediately closing up shop, and they’re suddenly blowing up on the internet. As a founding member of the already-crumbling ACD, there is a lot of work to be done and a lot of allies that the Captain will have to recruit to the cause.
In Ananta, players will go on story missions from a wild variety of scenarios, like trying to escape from a gang and their deadly truck, saving civilian hostages, high-speed car chases, hacking the city’s jumbotrons, delivering a casket with a guy sleeping inside, and more.
Players can take control of a wide variety of characters with different abilities, among them is the Captain, who can notably swing around buildings using a system quite similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Ananta Gameplay
Ananta is an open-world adventure game centered around doing missions as a member of the ACD task force. Different missions will sometimes take place through the perspective of different characters, such as the Captain, Taffy, Richie, Seymour, and more. Each character has a special ability that ranges from webswinging, hacking, conducting investigations with civilians, and more.
The combat system is built around unleashing melee attacks while countering enemy attacks and using the environment to your advantage. Characters can use their unique weapons, objects in their surroundings, and their own arms for the full martial arts experience. Various non-melee weapons, like guns, are also available in the game.
